Hmmm...Thats weird, never heard of that.
Yeah it was introduced in 29x.xx drivers for me. I even took a pic and posted on nvidia forums but they don't seem to give a shit.

Did you try changing the resolution or anything in the Nvidia control panel?
Can someone explain Gentlemen of Steelport to me?
Gentlemen of Steelport is a collection of mods designed to improve the gameplay, from little things like the customization of all cars and mission replay, to game-changing stuff like the ability to free-roam as Matt Miller's avatar, with bug fixes thrown in the mix. It's headed by IdolNinja, but not all mods in GoS are made by him.

Sounds interesting....Not played SR3 since I completed it, Will investigate tomorrow!

Are post-GoS saves compatible with vanilla game? Can it be played in coop? I've seen that there's a coop-compatible option, but does it mean that the other player has to install GoS?

Depends on which mods are installed. I'm not sure what would be conflicting and what would not be.

Tried playing with the overscan/scaling settings? Every so often my old PC thought it was hooked up to a TV and changed stuff.
Well, it seems like the Gangstas in Space DLC is really, really bad at this point.
It touts 'new outfits' but leaves you with one head item that doesn't go with anything.
The new missions last about an hour at best.
You can't use the new weapons outside of the incredibly short missions.
And to top it all off the 'new vehicles' are just reskins of existing vehicles.
So way to go Volition, I continue to feel like that Season Pass was a colossal waste.

You forgot to say where's the "bad" part.

And this, ladies and gents, is why you wait until the middle release of a DLC pack is actually released before purchasing it.

What's the current status on modding the actual terrain of the game?
I'm just wondering if there's any potential for fans to up the content a smidge themselves, outside the regular guns/outfits/etc.

Every time I play the first mission from Gangstas in Space, I get sent to Valhalla near the former-Syndicate skyscraper ("HE'S REALLY THROWING EVERYTHING AT US" part). Tried replaying from the last checkpoint and from the beginning, doesn't help. What to do?
Gangstas in Space seemed pretty awesome to me, sure, it only had about an hour worth of gameplay but it was still fun and can you really expect more from something that was developed in like a month and costs 6 bucks?
You forgot to say where's the "bad" part.
The bad part is that it's extremely lacking in content. It's like if you bought a sandwich that claimed to have turkey, lettuce, and tomato, but the lettuce and tomato bits were tiny in comparison to the entire sandwich and the turkey was dry and stale.

"Sure it only had an hour of gameplay and hardly any unlockable content, but hey it was good!"

An hour worth of gameplay isn't worth 6 dollars?
[editline]23rd February 2012[/editline]
And who the hell gives a shit about unlockables? The DLC isn't about unlockables so why would that even matter?
An hour worth of gameplay isn't worth 6 dollars?
No, it's not worth 6 fucking dollars.
No, it's not worth 6 fucking dollars.
How the fuck is it not? Most games that cost 60 dollars these days have about 6 hours worth of gameplay = 10 dollars for one hour, here it's only a bit over half of that price.
From what I saw it looked lacking, but I'd still play it.
From what I saw it looked lacking, but I'd still play it.
It's still fun as hell. And the music is awesome.
At least it's better than the DLC SR2 got.
At least it's better than the DLC SR2 got.
What was the DLC by the way? Something to do with porn actresses, right?
Phenom II 3.8ghz x 2
4 gb ram
4 gb pagefile
Nvidia GT 220
Don't play on max but I have reasonable good graphics. Great performance unless I overdo the particles (i.e chainsawing zombies standing in a fountain.)
That's really weird. I have a Phenom II 955 @ 3.2 ghz which is a quad core, 8 gigs of DD3 ram at 1600mhz and an overclocked GTX 570 and the game under performs and the FPS Is all over.

I don't use the latest drivers since they are breaking my resolution in some games and making 30% off my screen get cut off. I'm on 285.XX
Get the latest drivers.
If you want DLC unlockables buy the other 15 packs.
I own all the DLC and I'm having a great time.
No, it's not worth 6 fucking dollars.
$6 = roughly £4.
I get £7 per hour at work.
For an hour's worth on content for £3 less that what I'm paid, it's worth it.

It's best if your coop partner installs GoS, but you can still play with a vanilla player. It might be slightly quirky/buggy though; invisible weapon, homies, etc. The coop compatible build option is simply a set of selected core mods that enhance the game without any kind of changes that adversely affect missions or balance. It's an easy way to play coop with other GoS users knowing that everything will work flawlessly. Any other mods outside of those core mods either have known issues, or are untested so use at your own risk.

What about first playing with GoS, then without it? Will saves that were modified with GoS work in a vanilla game?
I've had GoS 2 for about 20 minutes and I have already gone and and broken it.
I fell into the water as a avatar and after finding out I could drive vehicles I decided to do this..
What about first playing with GoS, then without it? Will saves that were modified with GoS work in a vanilla game?
They should, yes. The only mod that might have a problem is the Gang Plus One (GPO) unethical version which has a ton of extra gang customization homie options. With that particular mod, you would simply need to select one of the original gang customization types like Saints 1 before reverting back to vanilla.
Please keep in mind that all of these mods are still very much in beta and largely untested. It's always a good idea to make frequent backups of your saves just in case something should go wrong. I would suggest using a dedicated save file for your modded game at the very minimum.

Yeah I did screw around nvidia control panel but that went fuck all. I did auto adjust on my monitor which fixed the picture mostly but then the text was all blurry and shitty. Reinstalling 285.62 or whatever drivers fixed it all.
Since there's no SR2 thread (or it's so fucking old, which means writing there counts as necropost), I'll ask here. I have Live version of Saints Row 2 = shitty unpatched crap plus no support of Powertools. The question is - is there something I can do to have Saints Row 2 on Steam? Option "buy another copy" is fucking insulting, why the fuck I should pay twice.
