Throw the hobos at them.
that mission in SR2 early game when you had to destroy those hobos shacks took me ages I still to this day have no idea how to destroy them aside from flinging fire hydrants at them repeatedly
It tells you exactly how.
Holy shit Trouble with Clones is the shittiest thing ever. You get nothing for a reward. And by nothing, I mean nothing new. Holy shit another brute, yay. Man, am I disappointed.
Why the fuck do people care about the rewards? You're not buying rewards, you're buying the experience. Having fun in the missions is the reward.
Trouble with clones was just awful. The whole game is just awful. I'm trading it in and buying just cause 2.
The game was a big disappointment, but not exactly "awful".
I wasn't terribly disappointed because honestly I didn't expect a whole lot to begin with, not necessarily in a bad way. I expected a goofy, unrealistic game and that is exactly what I got.

Not the developer's fault, though, their last game bombed and cost them big.

I was completely happy with SR3, it delivered what the trailers promised, and the trailers promised a goofy game where you slap people across the head with a giant dildo and kick people in the nuts. Now that it has its new engine and all of that sorted Violition can build on top of that to SR4

Why can't I use the Saints Row 3rd account inside or out of the game?

I guess it's like how Saints Row 3 itself was suspected to be a joke last year. The article you posted was posted on April 2nd, so hopefully this is a real thing.

Damn.
Better not be a April Fools joke, I'm sick of seeing all those cool features slapping us in the face then being taken away. Telekinesis powers, COME THE HELL ON 40 weeks of DLC How much do we have left? There are all the costume packs I had remaining, is there any room for more?
Well I just rented this game on the PS3 and the game crashes during the intro everytime. I have cleaned the disc and it still does it. Seems like a lot of the games I receive have some sort of issue. [editline]6th April 2012[/editline] 5 fucking times. Jesus Christ.
Could be the PS3 itself, perhaps.
I just looked at the disc more closely, around 3 pieces were chipped off on the edges (well more like tiny notches, I wasn't wearing my contacts or else I would have noticed the first time). I don't know what kind of dumbass could manage that but I am beyond pissed right now. It was pretty good for the first few minutes.

Video rental stores have the worst customers, its like everyone before you just throws the disk around and punches it into the disk tray.
Take it back and demand a refund for that shit
Its Gamefly, so I just have to send a report and they will ship a new copy. Unfortunately by the time those slow bastards will have it shipped, my holiday will be over. Blockbuster rentals were a different story.
You know what I want in IV, if/when they make it? Procedural content. I don't know about anyone else, but part of why I don't come back to these sorts of games is the feeling that the area has been "emptied". You know, you got all the drops, you beat the missions, none of your enemies remain (except the cops), you did all the side stuff, and now the city is dead. Woo. And the whole "Saintsbook" thing was fun, as far as providing an incentive to do the kinds of things you would want to do in the game (kill people, steal shit, run people over, etc.), but nothing it involved was really unique, in terms of content. Steal car from location, kill dudes at location, it's all stuff you could do normally, barring the small details like the "make this car trigger a 3 star notoriety" flags on certain vehicles, or one establishing "now we are in survival mode, spawning rules changed". It's all stuff you could generate as you go, so it never feels like you've used up the city. For instance, the vehicle thefts. The vehicles themselves can be randomized easily, just take a car, a selection from a range of "normal" parts and performance stats for that car, and then one or two variables to be modified slightly beyond the norm. Bigger tires than normal, a nonstandard paint combination, spikes, whatever, something to make it recognizably unique from the majority of cars on the road and actually fun to get away from the cops/gangs in. Generate a line of text about why somebody wants it based on its type, what a person can do with it, you know, "These are popular with the [local] [demolishion derby scene], and are also great for [hunting mascots]". Set spawn rules, who's protecting it, if anybody, and you're done. Put them on a rotation for how long the job is available before new ones come in. And for the occasional "lolrandum" crap, generate one in every 100 or something to have completely randomized traits. You know, it's more funny to have a nun asking for a black and yellow cement truck with hot pink rims if it happens rarely and not to every single player in every single session. Assassinations could be done pretty much the same way, since you can just pick a model from a selection relevant to a given faction (gang, cop, politician, whatever), whether they have guards or not, a decoy, etc., generate some randomized text about the target ("[He] [gasses bunnies] [in his spare time], and [his mother] [owes me beer money]"), and away you go. Same for gang operations- pick a chunk of the map, within it, a space with a certain amount of freely accessible area (keeping people off most roofs to prevent the AI from getting stuck out of sight), X enemies with Y weapons, set spawn info. Limit 'em to a certain number on the map at a time, some in and out of gang territory (just so you're not getting that crappy situation where, since you own everything, nobody threatening can spawn), and inform the player by listing a vague location on some sort of crime ticker in Saintsbook ([Green trucks] [carrying weapons] spotted in [Wherever]).
Speaking of IV, I'm worried that the game may get affected if THQ goes under. THQ doesn't look like it's in a great spot right now.
THQ started dying after RF:Armageddon I think saints row and Dawn of War are the only things keeping it truly alive right now.
Let's hope they don't because Volition could end up crawling to a new publisher, and most of the ones out there are fucking evil and shit
I'd rather kill Saints Row than go to EA or Activision. Fuck that.
It would just decrease in quality by 99% Saints of Duty: Modern Gangwar 3 Now with dildo scopes and chainsaw red dot sights.
In Activisions universe, yes. In the Saints Row universe, no. In Saints Row you'd have a double chainsaw like dead rising 2 and a flaming dildo with spikes on the end.
