Are we even able to bring our past characters in?
I'm not really a fan of the standalone thing.
1. I will start the new missions as a level 1 peashooter with no upgrades or previous outfits
2. If we do finally get our oh so special powers we will only have them in the standalone
I just want to bring my shit back into the main game, I don't want to have to switch between 2 versions of Saints Row.

Yeah, standalone DLC worries me after GTA IV. Oh, a bunch of new guns and multiplayer modes... that you can't use with the old ones. Since standalone always has less content than the original, but the new content is always "shinier", it effectively splits the playerbase. Plus, the big issue everybody seems to have had with SRIII is that it's sorta weak on the content end, so the main appeal of the DLC to me would be beefing the game up a bit more. An even smaller game with some aliens doesn't mean much to me.
Though restarting at level 1 doesn't bother me at all. I think you'd have to have a de-leveling to make it fair since you're probably a bulletproof demigod right now.

Knowing what I know about the current engine limitations of SRTT, I strongly suspect that we will not be able to bring anything from EtD back with us into the original game.
