Gaaaaaaaaaaaay. Also, hey, Season Pass is $7. Worth it?
Gaaaaaaaaaaaay. Also, hey, Season Pass is $7. Worth it?
Nope.
Are we even able to bring our past characters in? I'm not really a fan of the standalone thing. 1. I will start the new missions as a level 1 peashooter with no upgrades or previous outfits 2. If we do finally get our oh so special powers we will only have them in the standalone I just want to bring my shit back into the main game, I don't want to have to switch between 2 versions of Saints Row. We really need more info on this DLC.
I'm willing to bet it'll use the Initiation Station system for characters, since it would be odd if you were forced to play as a different character.
I'm willing to bet it'll use the Initiation Station system for characters, since it would be odd if you were forced to play as a different character.
That's my guess too. Character import only into EtD and no export of anything.
That's my guess too. Although I'm not gonna lie, I think it would be nice if they allowed people who beat the DLC to bring their weapons/outfits/vehicles/whatnot into the main game.
I hate how i'm invincible. It means the only challenge in any of the DLC is from fucking escort missions.
I made two separate saves for that reason. One with the 'Take no damage from yaddayadda' upgrades, and one without.
It'd not surprise me if they released a thing like "Pre-order EtD and get *X item from EtD* in the main game!"
as far as I know, being unable to keep weapons from the DLCs and such is a hard-coded flaw it might not be that but the basic gist of it is "fixing it would be so difficult it would generally be a waste of time"
Been thinking i should probably get back to Saints 3, i can't even remember the last time i played it. It just got boring way too fast, that sure as hell never happened with SR2. Holy fuck, after looking at all the DLC that has come out during my break i'm starting to think Volition has officially lost it. Is any of the new DLC actually even worth buying, like can you even change the clothing colors in the Steelport Gangs pack?

If you want to buy a dlc or two, I recommend the shark one and the funtime pack.

The game is on sale in Steam but the dlc isn't :v: You ain't getting any of my money THQ. Also why bother releasing a bundle, out of on-disc content already?
I was flipping through my steam games looking for something to play, (I'm bored of everything) I saw the Initiation Station and I was like "damn, wish saints row 3 would go on sale" then I went into the store to check the featured items... :smug: [editline]1st June 2012[/editline]
The game is on sale in Steam but the dlc isn't :v: You ain't getting any of my money THQ. Shit, a year ago today, the Saints row 3 CG trailer came out. I remember having my mind blown off even though there was no gameplay footage.

I forget, does a save editor for the PC version exist? I wanted to remove a couple perks to make co-op more fair (infinite ammo, mainly).
One of the admins at saintsrowmods.com is working on a save editor. Don't know when it'll be released though.
Just bought the game plus Season Pass for a friend during this sale. But appearently Steam's version only gives you the Story DLC plus the Nyteblade pack. I could've sworn it gave one access to all the DLC they made for the first couple of months. Did Steam just modify the Season Pass set, or was THQ the only one doing it the other way?

All the other stuff, which has since reached a ridiculous volume, was separate from the get-go.
Had another sr3 coop night with my friend Monkey Does All-state cover this? Minimole its been like 2 months, put some fucking pants on.
So, this is a thing we impromptu started working on earlier today out of the clear blue: Once we get the wwise automated conversion scripted, you'll be able to point it at your local music files (mp3, ogg, wav, flac, etc) and it will automagically build new SRTT music archives for you; essentially giving you full control over what individual songs to replace. Pretty groovy.
So we can put our own music in place of SRTT music? That's fucking amazing, thank you Idol
You can actually do that right now with the custom radio stations guide that Toad King put together: http://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/index.php?threads/custom-radio-stations-guide.2/ It's just a pain in the fucking ass and takes forever to do. A lot of people also have trouble with using the command line tools to get everything archived correctly. We're simply trying to make it easy for everyone by automating the process behind the scenes so you can just browse out to your files and click one button to build the music banks and go.

I must be incredibly late, but I found this funny nevertheless: [thumb] http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/558691664543760211/051EAFE08E73CDDF67B49CFC63ADBB3A62977639/[/thumb]
I hope that they fix that damn bug where you can't call anyone and those darn LVL3 Homes showing up as LVL 1 Homes. It is just so much fun to try to use helipad and dying instantly. [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] Also play whole campaing using any TF2 bobblehead. [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/577831962945908734/E5F717277B2387AC6CB2656CEA602CEE49093A88/[/t][t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/577831962945917164/57CA8DB4145AD23F0075EB17236F739571ABBF36/[/t] It just makes everything better.
Can't use helipad in any upgradeable crib. Annoying.
He can do what Volition says they cannot :v:
And I'm gonna do what Volition didn't and put actual metal on the metal channel when Idols new mod comes out. I don't know what shit is on there now but it sucks.
You are pretty much worthy of being on the thq saints row development team
The thing is, he'd most likely not be able to do "what he wants" and only get to do certain things.
The thing is, he'd most likely not be able to do "what he wants" and only get to do certain things.
I would bound into work on my first day with super energy and a million things to fix and be told that it's not in the budget to correct/patch issues. Then I would get stuck in the basement and assigned to churn out crappy overpriced DLC that nobody fucking wants. It would likely break my spirit within the first 24 hours.
