it'd be cool to go back to the serious side of Saints Row again, there's potential for some really effective and memorable moments in there if they just drop the ridiculousness to a more manageable level

Mmmmm, i don't think that is it. In the beginning of days, when warez, it worked just fine. Then, it was either a cheat or some car customization that did something weird. All of a sudden, all cars i tried to drive suddenly went fucking concrete.
Then i got the game for real some time ago, and this shit starts happening again.
But, something strange happened when i went driving randomly, and i hit a roadblock'ish thing, with a concrete truck (or was it a garbage truck) parked right behind, and milliseconds after i crash through the wooden barriers and ram into the truck, my car becomes fully susceptible to damage!

Man, you would believe how awkward it was, playing through Saint's Row 1 and 2, noticing the parallels between the Vice Kings and the Saints, and being named Warren.
