In the game it was world war 2, but you were the leader of some sort of extra-badass squad that could ''buy'' in air support, like airstrikes, or drop tanks and field cannons. The maps are quite large and I think it was for the xbox.
The Outfit?
Does anyone remember a game where you built contraptions out of base pieces, like a giant rube goldberg machine. it isn't crazy machines or whatever game is in that vein, and it took an almost cartoony approach to the whole game. It was really fun, I got it maybe 9 or 10 years ago.
It had a really cool style to it, and I've wanted to know the name of it for years. Any help anyone?
Sounds like The Incredible Machine to me.
ok basically, i'm pretty sure it was for the N64 but i can't quite remember, you played as this dude and you kinda like went around town solving peoples shit, There was lots of bad ends but iirc you can go back and forth between time and solve everyones shit for good end. One of the main-ish chars dad was an alchemist or something like that...
One thing i remember that was quite prominent in this game is something like a big clock tower, i'm pretty sure it was on the cover art for the game. [sp]Someone dies by being hit by a car buy you can save them[/sp]
Get the feeling it might have been for ps1. This is annoying me.
Found it!, turns out it was for ps2, Shadow of memories.
Sounds like The Incredible Machine to me.
Can I suck your dick? Seriously, that's it. Thank you, so much. You just brought extreme joy to me. Thank you.
-got it, nvm-
I am trying to remember a game.
It was for PS2.
It was third-person and had melee combat.
You could transform into different creatures.
There was a lot of goo in the game.
It was very artistic and creative.
It had a demo or trailer for Star Wars Commando I think.
It had an extra where it showed how the sounds were made.
It had a mini-game to open doors. It was similar to Bioshock's locked door mini-game I think.
It was really fun and had great voice acting.
The opening cutscene was people in a ship kind of similar to Halo's Pelican.
I think you were stranded on the goo island.
That is all I can remember I think. I played it when I was like 7.
ALSO: I think the transformation was like Prototype's system for it I think. But instead of weapons for limbs you actually transformed into different characters. Like a big burly guy, a fast guy that can turn invisible, a cat like creature.
OH, ALSO: The levels were like the level in Halo 3 in the Flood's home or whatever. I think it was called Cortana. Yeah.
This is Parasite Eve.
Here is one that I remeber playing. It was a racing game for pc that you were able to drive a car and race other cpus around a track. The tracks started out simple in the grass and desert but eventually got to the moon or something like that. The cars in the game were very simple blocky things and the camera view never changes as you are looking at the car isometricly as you are following it. Also, i thought it was called eracer but I am not sure. Also, when you ran the disc, a webpage came up asking if you wanted to try out their other games with a large button to start the game.
This is Micro Machines.
Forgot what game it was, but I remember playing it around 2002 IIRC. I am going to say this part as best as I can remember, but my memory of this game has faded and I am trying my hardest to remember
"From Bad to Worse"
2200 hours
Arctic Ocean
-25 degrees Celsius
15 meters below sea level
(Forgot ship name)
*Screen fades in from black as the sound of a torpedo hitting plays*
*View begins to unblur and bubbles are seen rising as several floating corpses come into view*
*Blood starts to cough out from where the player's vision is*
*Player begins to see corpse of key characters as he swims to find a air hole in the sinking ship*
I remember at that point swimming up to a catwalk just above the water with the character starting to cough/puke blood all over the floor below him and falling out of consciousness, only to be rescued by some generic soldier wearing a balaclava. Someone mentions that the character is beyond saving at that "They should just leave him behind" who is interrupted by the person wearing the balaclava claiming he can save him and the character falling out of consciousness again.
I barely remember this game, all I remember was emotional music and a few scenes, if anyone can figure it out please tell me. Also, probably came out in 1999 or 2001, but I don't remember. If you know, please tell me.
This is Call of Duty 1.
Ok I'm searching for this game for ages.
Sadly I only remember one level of the game (because it was a demo) so I will try my best to really describe it.
It was an old-ish (probably around the year 2000) FPS game where you were shooting terrorists in an Egypt desert with all sorts of guns and frag grenades. You started the level on a sand hill looking at a big pyramid (which you could go in to) that was a little far and between you and the pyramid there open sand corridors and ruins (if I remember right there was also the Sfing near by,but like I said I'm not 100% sure). There really isn't anything much to tell. I just hope I will finally get to play this game.
This is Delta Force: Land Warrior.
Just trying to mop up the last few pages, quite a few people have been ignored.
I am 99% certain (except for the Micro Machines one, there are definitely a lot of clones out there) that those are the correct games.
There was a PS1 demo disc with the game Rollcage: Stage 2 on it. Which disc was it?
I always played a Sega something game when I was 4-7, it had something to do with you being transformed into a monkey and your girlfriend being taken away by some flying dude iirc, you attacked stuff by spitting banana things at it or something
Also a game in which you could make a character to play and you'd start out in this forest where you had to kill some wolves and eventually got to this village kinda thing with a locked gate and you had to find a way in, I believe you could also be a werewolf of sorts.
And a game in which you play some kinda knight and you can choose a class(all I remember is a dude with an axe and an archer type), it was kind of a hack n slash game and I think one of the short intro thingies had something to do with a syringe/valve(but am sure its not a Valve game)
This one has been bugging me for a while. Does anyone remember a decently old PC freeware game that was sort of like a 3D spy hunter type game? You progressed through different environments etc, took different routes on roads, weapon pickups, and occasionally a helicopter would fly overhead and shoot at you. and to get more health or armour, vans drove up in front of you periodically and you had to actually drive in them to get the health or armour.
Does anyone know what im talking about? and im fairly sure it started with an H or a W
I am trying to remember a game I used to play on the original playstation (I believe)
All that I think I remember is being a cat that walks on two legs and drives a car. I remember one mission when I had to chase down some bad guy and make him crash.
Any help would be cool, I wanna try playing this again.
I have one. It was released in the 90's (I had windows 95 at the time if that helps) and it started out with what I believe was a thug-like guy and you played inside a t.v. From what I remember it was probably based towards kids and it had you going through doors in a hall to solve missions and stuff to unlock more doors. The characters in the game from what I remember were animals resembling either specifically the animaniacs or Looney Toons characters. This was my favourite game as a kid so if you know of the game please help. If this is any help I have one quote I remember from the game it was a shakespeare parody with from what I remember was a black rabbit similar to a animaniac. The quote was "to be or not to be, that is the question" and he was holding a human skull in his left hand on a pedastal.
EDIT
Ha wow I found it within seconds of posting this. It was called stay tooned and was an awesome game from the 90's. Here's the website where I found it - http://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/win3x/action/?o=2a1 and the game itself - http://www.mobygames.com/game/win3x/stay-tooned
-Wait no, Daikatana-
I'm looking for an RPG Maker game. You were in a small town, where some murders occured (or so I believe). The catch was that some supernatural evil was lurking around the city, and you followed a blood trail into a little garden shed, and on some wall someone drew a graffiti warning of the "black man" or something. At the end, you entered a door next to the graffiti and were in the evil's base.
So yeah, if anyone has any clue (might have been a regional, german game, actually), please let me know.
N64
Fighting game
Had a red armored guy on the cover.
That's all I remember.
Nvm, I found it.
the game's name was something along "space station odyssey" but i searched and found nothing.
you were in a space station, and there was like 5 rooms, 5-10 different ms-dos games in each room. you had to climb on a lift, then the lift ascended and the game launched, you were able to choose what game to play. all i remember that there was doom, beavis&butthead and descend. i gotta find out what game it was
anyone? the game is too monumental to be forgotten
Not very descriptive but I dont remember much, it was a low-quality PC game where you fly a helicopter around doing missions while this played in the background constantly. You were able to buy helicopters too, I think.
Any idea what game it was?
I remember it was a 2D PC game like Diablo 2.
In the demo you started out with some kind of witch and a lion/barbarian thingy to move around with.
I also remember that in the beginning of the game that the village you are in was your hometown but it gets captured by some sultan scum or something...
This game is rather old, about 11 years or so I'm thinking. I'm believing it to be a PS2 game, but it might of been a PS1 game, I was only 6 years old so it's bad memory. The game itself I lack lots of memory of, but it's pretty much you as a humanoid-ish character playing in third person, and you run around levels and pick up powerups or something. It wasn't really violent (kind of a kid's game), and yes it was an early release on PS2/a late on PS1 but I'm thinking it was on PS2.
Sorry for lack of detail, I just suck at remembering.
I can barely remember an old edugame, very old one.
You controlled a person, and you had to go and find the words that were hidden throughout the level like "Tree" or "House" or "Wigwam", and once you found one you had to go and find the corresponding picture of that object.
There were also enemies which were basically like purple slime things, and if you touched one you got hurt. If you paired up the wrong word to the wrong picture one of them appeared, and they were also spread throughout the level.
There was a Bookworm who helped you by providing you with pink slime every time you paired up a word, which you could use to kill the enemies (Fight slime with slime?). He held it in a little bucket in the top-left corner of the screen.
Once you found all the words in the level and paired them up correctly, you could go to the end of the level.
That's all I remember.
Helicopter game where you get to blow up all enemies before they get to finish line, they shoot you too. And there are also hostile towers shooting you. Any idea?
[editline]1st April 2011[/editline]
It has multiplayer too

Reposting for new page, selfish as I am.
I'm trying to find a game in which you have a scope and there is a man tied up, if you shoot him it saves somewhere on your computer and every time you open up the game he's still dead. It was posted here not too long ago. It was a 2d low quality game, the scenario I described was the entire game.
Reposting from the first page.

What was the name of that one game, it was in a really blocky style and it was kind of like hitman, I remember it started on a boat and at one point I had to take pictures of some birds. I think it was called Hambone or something, but I googled it and got nothing. I think there was a FP thread on it a while back. Could anyone help?

It's a very short game

Oh, thanks man.
I suddenly remember an FPS from at the very latest 2001 but probably much earlier.
As far as I remember it had Doom/Quake style graphics - hell it might have been a mod, it was a free demo on a CD I played. It was set in either the White House or the Capitol Building and I think the story was something like terrorists had attacked and you needed to fight your way to the president. For some reason I distinctly remember being able to push around furniture including flags on little metal poles.
A game where you were a girl with green hair, and I forget what they were, but the ball things looks like they had scream masks on. It was on the Nintendo 64 and you could only play with the D-Pad. All I remember unfortunately.
It was a old pc game, where you would combine troop types like samurai and gunmen and it would make some weird combination of them, it was an rts game. I think it had realm in it's name, i'm not sure.
