Nevermind. I just found it. The game is called Scribblenauts.
Old side scrolling PS1 3d fighting game. Based in Japan, basic fighting characters, but you progressed through levels and you could play with friends.
Old turn based strategy game originally on the sega genesis. I don't remember much but you could have soldiers, tanks and planes. You could also enable an option that made each battle show a crude 3d animation of what happened.
Any help would be appreciated.

Nope! The graphics were even "simpler", the graphics sort of looked like a MegaDrive (Genesis) game. Actually I think it was also released for the MegaDrive, because I've seen a picture of the game in an old MegaDrive magazine, if I only could find the magazine it would be great.

it was kinda top down you start off in a square you can talk to people
it was kinda like fable 2
you could go to blacksmiths caravans
but this is from a demo
i think you could seduce women go to courts and other stuff

Well I know it had this guy called gordon freeman in it, It was from 1998? anyone? naw just kidding. There was this game I used to play when I was young It was a viking game (i think) 2d looking down view I remember this part near the start with these spider things that jumped down, it was pc it came on a demo disc, I used to play it so much, Gawd it was epic :3

A PS1 game called "Assault" or something like that. You could play 2 player coop and it was a 3d sidescroller. You had to shoot aliens.

It was a PS1 game, where you played as a guy with a blue shirt, and metal thingys on your arms, which attached bombs to the floor. It was a futuristic setting, and I believe the front picture was a starship, though I'm quite unsure. The first boss of the game was a tank, and you got special bombs, one sucked enemies closer to the bomb, one made a bigger boom and so on, three different I remember, one red, one purple and one yellow, apart from the standard bombs. You could place bombs in stacks, and get great effects. There was even a versus mode, where I remember the first boss (Tank), a robot with a gun and another with a green lightsaber thing.

Looking for a game, I remember parts of the opening, It's a big war going on, and at one point, the good guys bring in these large mobile towers and they start resurrecting all their troops, and then at the end the main character calls down a huge Lava storm and it wipes out everything besides him.

It was a sidescroller game for Sega Megadrive where you were a little boy with a football and you used the ball to kill the monsters and such... i think you begin in an castle.. can't remember much from it but i always played it when i was little :)

Yes that was it thanks, I've been haunted by that game for a while now, not remembering the name was driving me crazy.
Okay, It was most likely on the Master System (or Megadrive) and it was this game where your character walks around a house and there was a quiz of some sort which asked you questions like "What is the capital of x?". I'm sure that there was a computer and when you turned it on it would give you an electric shock and you would die. And when you walked up the stairs I think they collapsed and killed you or something. My sister said that it would usually come on when there was no game in the drive and sometimes it took a while to get it working. Not sure about that.
