I doubt this been posted about, but Im hopeful SOMEONE out there has also played this pretty obscure shareware game.
The premise of it was like a world war 2 type thing, it had a bunch of different nations to play as themed around world war 2 powers, it had americans, germans, japanese, russians, british, etc. You could create a variety of units, there were no infantry but you had a wide range of tanks and other vehicles like firetrucks, and then an assortment of naval and air units. You could even build atomic bombers at the height of technology and totally assrape your enemies. The main resources were oil and manpower I believe oil from wells obviously and manpower from cities. Like I said before it was shareware, by now its probably free but even if not I still wanna know what its called.
It was a really unique styled game, if youve played it youll surely know what Im talking about right away, hopefully you remember the name better than I do.
WORD RESCUE. OH YES. Finally found someone else who played it :3
Holy shit i remember that game.
There was a semi-old PC game my friend had on his laptop, where you played as a space pilot. It was a top down game, had decent graphics, and the core of the game was trading between worlds and outposts. There was an alien race that controlled their ships using physic powers. I remember if you had the demo and you played for longer than the trial period, some guy in a giant ship would come and kill you.
EDIT:
Never mind, It was Escape Velocity Nova.
It was an old 2D game for the computer where you were a guy with a jetpack. You could create levels from scratch, and if you touched spikes on the walls you died. anyone?
whats the upcoming fighting game with some bunnie-type characters, but they kick and hit with some awesome physics and some more or less indie game, what is it? i wanna check on it for some videos

Overgrowth.
I can't remember the name of a planet exploration strategy game. You had different races there was humans, these stupid ogre guys and some other ones. All the races wanted to colonize the planet which was somewhat randomly generated. the world was split into sections which you could colonize and build stuff on. As a month passes events occur. There was different technologies you could study by building universities, you could make power plants, housing units so you could have more people living on that sector and military structures such as missile silos. When you moved onto a spot with enemies it went into the isometric view where a battle took place. It had vehicles and stuff too, I used to play it heaps, its pretty old and it was on PC, it was also in the future.
Here's a challenge:
It's a game from 1997-2003, it was a point-and-click adventure (I assume for children) with I believe two
protagonists. All I remember gameplay wise was that the main menu had three buttons (One of which was a
paint tool), the game took place in a vaguely jungle setting (If I remember correctly), and the game had something to do with finding puzzle pieces.

Though, now that I think about it, it may have been more of an I-Spy game than an adventure game.
New page repost.
It was an old PC game. Dunno if it was a demo.
THE MUSIC. The music was the BEST aspect of the game and that is what made it good.
The graphics were completely 2D. The view was bird's eye.
You played as a blue robot, and you had to shoot other things (robots?). It was cool. You could choose the planet you would like to shoot things on.
The game may have had "Earth" in its name, but I am totally unsure.
It's a computer game, free. You played a character who had to rebuild his house as part of a tutorial. it had wood-cutting; food items and was 2D. Your energy/health bar would decrease in weather and most tiles could be stored in your quickslots for building your home.

No. It had more of a #-bit style to it; and I believe it had either garden or eden in it's name
I've actually forgotten the name of an awesome game I used to play all of the time.
The game started in a city. Your character, a male police officer, arrives to what I think is a robbery in a police car and you go through multiple alleyways equipped with a few weapons including a tazer which would eventually set an enemy on fire. The enemies were sometimes up on top of buildings with assault rifles.
Sorry, that's all I remember but it should be enough. I want to watch videos and relive the memories.
EDIT: Nevermind, found out what it is, Syphon Filter.

Sounds like The ClueFinders.
Hey there. So I'm sure some of you are familiar with some old disc collections for the PS1 called "PlayStation Underground?" Well, I used to own quite a few with these collections (unfortunately, they've all been lost/given away) Now, lately, I've been madly Googling the Internet in search of old games I used to play, and I've actually found a few, but there's this ONE I still can't find/remember. What was the game like?
Well, I remember the main character was this girl. The art style was very colorful. It was all in this very cartoony/chibi, 2D art style, so I can't really tell how young she was. She would trek across different 2D landscapes, such as a desert, a tundra, and typical grassy plains, both during the day and at night. Although she was normally on foot, she would occasionally find a bicycle lying around which she could ride to go faster. Also, there were these anthropomorphic animals wandering around, and by talking to them, they would ask you some sort of question, and you were given about four choices, each choice being highlighted in different colored buttons. If you answered incorrectly, a cow would fly across the top of the screen, and the animal would walk away. If you answered correctly, an angel, accompanied by the typical "Charge!" theme would play, and the animal would then follow you. You could have up to two animals following you at one time. There was something also involving this big tent or something, and the girl would always speak in Japanese.
What the main purpose in the game was, I seriously cannot remember, but I'm hoping someone can remember for me. I've already rediscovered old classics like Jersey Devil and Legend of Legaia, but I really can't find this one. Can anyone help?

No, I remember the characters being more cartoony than that. Thanks though.
I finally found out the name of a game I have been hunting down for along time (posted here about it a long time ago with no responses). But this is what it was!

I described it as a top down shooter where you're a jet fighter flying through a bunch of areas that are isometric.

I'm looking for a WW2-ish game, I think there was only a demo. There was zombies and a spider mutant thing. It is a FPS, and about a year old.
There were spaceships and then the 1st boss was a big face. I was like 2. So 1996.
There was a massive online FPS that I remember seeing at one time, maybe 64 or more players in one game. There were two or three major factions, I remember some islands in a large ocean... It's all very hazy but it looked awesome. I would love to be able to remember it.
So I can remember a game that was first person, and you had to kill cops but you had to do it with your bare hands and hide the body which was hard because you were in some sort of bulding(a mall or a police office) later you were on the roof and again you had to kill cops and hide them
anyone know a name?
There was this one game i played over 10 years ago (maybe 12) on PC.
It was a jet-ski racing game. It had lots of ramps, and when you landed a jump you often sank several meters below water surface and bounced up. 3D game.
What could this game be?
It was an action game, you played as this blue demon vampire guy who wore a mask over him mouth. Popular, I remember, but anyone know the name?

Maybe Necrovision?
I want to remember a game that i only played the demo of. You were a robotic tick/spider fighting other in a city environment. It was 3D and you could climb on walls and if i remember correctly you could also destroy buildings. There were some boss battles against other bigger robots.
