How old is your PS3? cause mines 4 years old and it's doing things like what you said except its doing it in multiple games.
Mines only about two years old, it's the slim version.
I guess this would be the best place to ask;
when I play GTA IV, it overheats, I think. I think it's overheating because of the way it gradually fucks up then crashes. Before it crashes it does weird shit like making civilians noclip, falling through the ground, invisible buildings, no sound coming from vehicles or people, like that. Usually after the sound goes away, it crashes.
Before it's asked, yes, it's in a well ventilated area that's not enclosed. I've tried moving it around and it did the same thing. This doesn't happen with any other games.
Some store guy was telling me the disc might have a crack in it or something, but I think that would just make it plain not work, not gradually shit itself. Also, it used to work fine.
Anyone know what I could do to fix this? If it helps, the system is on a wood surface. Also I've tried cleaning the disc and all that.
It is more than likely the disc being fd up when it comes to ingame stuff, hardware errors I cant say.
I rented GTA IV and The Liberty City Stories Pack and the GTA IV was messing up the same way plus entire islands were missing once you crossed the bridge. The stories however worked flawlessly.
Those triggers you can buy are beyond awful and feel cheap as heck. They break off and need putting back on.
The actual triggers are not so bad, they're better because they allow an analogue input. Perfect for driving games like Gran Turismo.
I miss the days of fucking around in Home. Probably a month after it came out, I created a character that the tallest, skinniest you could make and gave him red pants, a white tank top, and made him bald. I went into the main area and sat down in front of the dance floor and just left him there while I went and watched TV, played games on the PC, etc. When I came back there was at least 15 people sitting down around me in a crowd like fashion and they were all asking me spiritual questions and shit. Great times.
They're meant to be permanently in for cellphone use, so they've gotta be minimal on your head.
What do you mean by cellphone use?
What do you mean by cellphone use?
Most bluetooth headsets are marketed towards people who want hands free cellphone use.
IS your PSN down to? I know its a dumb reason but every time i try to log on it says: There has been an error. You have been logged out of the PlayStation Network (80710092) Any one know how to fix this? It has said that for 2 days now!
Works fine here. Check your router or something.
I just got a new internet, It's fiber network, and I've tried with that and my old, turned it off and on again and it still wont go!

Oh.What about those specifically designed for the playstation 3?I can't seem to find any :(
Also, how are the headsets based on one ear?
[editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
also how does this even look

I have that and it works great, both with my PS3 and my phone if I wanted to use it there.

I have that headset as well, works great for my ps3, and on the occasion that I use it for my phone, it works good with it too.
Oh fuck, I completely forgot about this...what about the headphones? Is this just a mic or can you actually hear sound from it?
Regular USB headset is a no-go. It will work as a mic yes, but you won't get sound from it.

I've run out of space on my 40GB hard drive (it's full of things that I don't want to delete), what's the best thing to do? External hard drive?
Just upgrade your internal one.

Browse through here and find something that meets your requirements. It's fairly cheap nowadays.
Have you guys got a secret steam group or something where you get together and play, or has this community really died down. In any case, is there anyone that would like to play LBP 2 later? Either create or random levels. If so add me at baneseven and send me a message.

Oh god, they all look the same. Is this a good one? http://www.ebuyer.com/166417-hitachi-320gb-2-5-sata-ii-travelstar-hard-drive-5400rpm-8mb-cache-hts545032b9a300
It says ideal for PS3 so I'm assuming it is.

You can do much worse, but most people will tend to avoid Hitatchi after the "deathstar" series of Deskstar hard drives they produced. I think I am using a similar model to that one mind. I'd dig about a bit and see if I can find something similar. Usually Samsung, Western Digital (WD) and Seagate (to some extent) are the most trusted brands. But if you need to save a few quid, the Hitatchi should work fairly well.
Oh, and be sure you have somewhere to back your current data up to, I found that out the hard way, it's fucking awful to lose all your save data.

My default 160gb is Hitachi and it works fine. Never had an issue with it. Though I like WD more than anything.
How do I access my HDD anyway? I can't find a slot it would be in.

My HDTV is a Hitachi one.
Does this mean my TV has a killswitch on it set to "break" the tv at some point to force me to buy a new one? :(

Aw, fuck.Any headsets (mic and headphones :<) you recommend then?
So I went to eurogamer and got to play Uncharted's MP which has been majorly improved, Dark Souls which feels like a complete improvement over the original along with some other games. Got to try CS:GO on PS3 which felt decent although the controls could be changed around a bit.
Best part was, Nolan North was there. (Actor of Drake in Uncharted among loads of other things.)
I got to meet him and got him to sign my copy of Uncharted 2.

When I back the current data up, do I need a 40GB USB or will it make the data smaller?
That's awesome :D
