the twisted metal demo controls are really hard
the twisted metal demo controls are really hard
Play the tutorial, it should help out a bunch. I'm pissed that Killzone is on hold indefinitely. I was really looking forward to its re-release. http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1162224
So, what happened to the PSN rebranding? I got the PS3 update, but I don't see the PSN tab renamed to SEN or anything major outside the web browser improvements, and of course auto-time correction.
the twisted metal demo controls are really hard
Racing control scheme is the best imo, It takes a few games to get a handle on it. My one gripe is the fact I have to thrust the controller forward to boost, fuck that, it doesn't work half the time. I thrust up/down/left/right/forward/back and nothing happens most of the time.
waiting for the controller to slip out of someones hand and hit their tv
This sale on the Final Fantasy games has really got me back into PS3 gaming, buying FF13 from a preowned game store later today for £10, got 7 and 9 to play through, Twisted Metal when I get the money, Gran Tusimo 5 I found in my room again and the new True Crime game was picked up by Square Enix and should be out some point this year.

You can't really see any difference, because PSN is still...well PSN.
Just found out my PS3 couldn't play PS2 games. What the fuck thats the main reason bought it.
wow you just buy stuff for some reason before even making sure it's true?
wow you just buy stuff for some reason before even making sure it's true?
PS3's had backwards compatibly at launch but Sony took this feature out of later models that came out a little bit after launch for some reason that I don't know. Where do I get the twisted metal demo?
Where do I get the twisted metal demo?
It's finished, was a 5 day thing. [editline]10th February 2012[/editline]
Judging by all the PS1 and 2 games they're remaking for the PS3, that was the reason
Took them log enough to make PS2 games for the PS3.
My 60GB hard drive was running out of space so i done a few benchmarks to compare the speeds of the old 60GB hard drive and my new 120GB hard drive. On the 60GB, assassins creed revelations took 08:01 to install. I'm now installing on the new fresh hard drive, It's 10 minutes in and only 20% done. What the fuck. [editline]10th February 2012[/editline] 50% done and only 25 mins in. Going well guys.
Judging by all the PS1 and 2 games they're remaking for the PS3, that was the reason
The PS2 compatibility was removed due to the price. There was essentially a second set of hardware in the PS3 for PS2 emulation. And the partial-software emulator they used in the models released just before the complete removal sucked shit from my understanding. They did patent some way to emulate the PS2 on the Cell a year or so ago now, we've not seen anything of that since mind, so it might have just been a defensive patent.

I ask, because I am assuming the 60 was 7200rpm and the 120 is probably a 5400rpm, which in number doesn't seem like much, but in harddrive speed, it makes a big difference.
Both 5400rpm as far as I'm aware. Seek times and all that are pretty much the same too. Yet it took 40 minutes longer to install something. And then 5 seconds longer to load the menu screen.
anybody play twisted metal yet? i'm not getting it until tomorrow
anybody play twisted metal yet? i'm not getting it until tomorrow
Just got it, it's fucking amazing. Even though I just bought it, I can't help but be pissed at all this online pass shit, I have friend's who rent games rather than buy so this is starting to get really annoying. But whatever, got my special edition so I shouldn't complain.
Is the new Twisted Metal anything like the past Twisted Metals?
Is the new Twisted Metal anything like the past Twisted Metals?
I've never had the original TM's but I know for a fact that this game is incredibly fun, such a great change of pace with today's games. As far as comparing it to other TM's, just watch a few videos of gameplay, some of my friends seem to think its fucking stupid compared to the originals mainly due to character redesign but when it comes to gameplay this is pretty fucking solid.
Just pre-ordered a Vita, got Lumines, Uncharted and Modnation with it.
Just pre-ordered a Vita, got Lumines, Uncharted and Modnation with it.
You're still pre-ordering it? I thought it was released (people in Canada have gotten it anyways).
What does the new software update add? It's not the SEN one, btw.
Just beat Twisted Metals SP on Twisted and gold medaled everything, got Warthog and now it's time to tear shit up online.
Wow, I just noticed this thread NOW. My PSN-ID: riki2cool
"Hmm, ps2 games in the store? Let's see what- HOLY SHIT IT'S SSX ON TOUR" This will keep me occupied til the new one in the series comes out...
What does the new software update add? It's not the SEN one, btw.
Minor bug fixes, makes a change. Everyone who owns Twisted Metal, head over to their website and checkout the new Skin Editor for cars, I just got myself an Ecto-1 skin for Meat Wagon. I love the story in the game, but the game is less than 6 hours long.
Apparently AC III is coming in October and has been in the works for three years.
