I used to be an arrow keys kinda guy, but when I really started getting into FPSs with 500000+ buttons I switched to WASD for extra keys. Though that would be ZQSD for me, considering I have an AZERTY keyboard.
Personally, in-game I only use the keypad for specific voice commands, which can often be quicker than using the menu if the game's voice menu is awkward.
Also, there should be software or some other easy way to have a picture of a keyboard, with key information when you hover over the keys. Then we could more easily share our entire setups.

They actually seem like a good idea, but at the end of the day they cost more than most full keyboards.

I'm not left-handed so using the mouse in my right hand and WASD in my left is fine with me. My keyboard can shut off the windows key so no problem with that. I've been typing since grade school when my grade school taught mandatory typing courses, so I never press the wrong key, accidentally hit buttons, or can't reach a button.
I like my set-up.

WASD simply because all the keys you need are close (number keys for weapon switching, for example). Plus it's already mapped for nearly every game so it's less of a hassle.
