Thank God, I downloaded the newest Cartograph and managed to find out that the arrow I made points EXACTLY to my base.
Fuck yes, guys, I'm back in business. Posting pics of my recent spelunking trip + post-spelunking inventory in a few minutes.
I'm considering purchasing this, but I haven't played Minecraft in ages. How long do you think it will take for someone to get back into the swing of things?
Creative mode (free) remains the same. When going into /game/, you may want to read this.

This hinders me so much and I hate it. I sent Notch an email about it.
I don't know if he'll investigate into it because I have a feeling he did it on purpose.

It would be cool if we instead of changing the resolution
we made a super realistic HD pack

Isn't it just a skin problem? That's all it looks like to me.

You can't make a "super realistic HD pack" without changing the resolution.

I am trying to say replacing the current textures with ones from games like hl2
then change the resolution to HD.

The fire texture isn't even in any of the source files. I don't know when it's loaded, but I expect it's loaded to an arbitrary position in memory after the terrain.png image and, when that image gets to big, it starts overwriting specific sections. Or else it's a GPU issue or some thing I have no knowledge of - haven't really used OpenGL that much.
It's taking me ages to determine when the fire texture is loaded though because it's been forever since I last used java, not to mention the obfuscation notch uses.
My hope is that he officially supports terrain.png textures up to 2048 (maybe 4096!) in a future update.
You'll be set for awhile Beetle.
Also, I just checked the new OP, and hey, a blog section!

Well that kind of sucks. Maybe notch didn't intend for textures to ever be that detailed, so he never implemented the ability to have that size? I think he'd go along with allowing for the new sizes though, if he saw requests for them.

Since it's all your own pace, not very long. Just don't spend too long on the logic blocks.
Can someone please explain to me how I can buy Minecraft in the United States? I only see it in Euros and when I click to select my country it stays on Euros.

Deleting the bin folder and updating java did nothing.

Paypal will convert for you automatically.
Would someone kindly repost the download link for the 3D Dot Game skin? Also, could someone explain again how to get skins to work with the downloaded client?
I have a feeling Notch isn't going to put any block protection or anything like that in multiplayer. It's going to be quite impossible to make that city, seeing how there's probably going to be a lot of griefers burrowing under and planting tnt below the entire city.
The only way that'd be awesome is if full block physics were implemented. It would be amazing to sink whole cities during a war or something. :v:
Also, sorry for not linking to my Dam. I was at work, but I see you got it anyway.

Do you have a default.png in %appdata%/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar (if you open it with 7-zip or WinRAR)?
16 gold bars.

Make it into a gold block and place it somewhere.
Save the rest for another/ throw it away.
