Nay.
All these speculated towns and individual projects can fit in one thread. Putting them in individual threads just gives you several small threads that are going to die quickly and take up space, per the old principle that the only people who care about a non-chat thread are the people who made it.
In a subforum (which isn't even possible), you'd just have one thread like this, and several "5 views, 2 posts" types everywhere.
A better solution is people posting less drama and stupid questions to save room for the actual gameplay discussion and content, followed by an OP which updated to contain the blogs and such people make dedicated to their larger projects.
Whatever was wrong with the server is fixed now.
I used the mining tips and I have found a very large cavern. It also scared the shit out of me when every corner I turned there was a monster. Then I turn to run and zombies are walking toward me. But yeah, alot of iron ore down here, no gold/diamond/lava yet.

Why can I not join the server?
I was making a hole in the castle wall to make a window and it dropped me, that was about 1 hour ago and i still cannot get on.

During the day, while you are underground press F four times, this toggles fog, but also can let you see through the walls. If joo got balls, dig towards a monster that you see through the wall.

So I found a skeleton spawn box. [i]How the fuck[/i] am I supposed to deal with these fuckers on normal difficulty? I'm gonna find a way to get that box, gotta make a bunch of armor though.

I just got minecraft today and Im impressed. I took over an island, flattened it, made my main house and added a basement and a 2nd floor. Then I made a smelting area with smokestacks made from stone and made a well for disposing of wastes(It carries it downstream into the ocean) I was running out of room for my items so I made a warehouse. It was hard to swim to my mines and tree farms so I made bridges with gates in the middle to keep out pesky mobs. Tomorrow if I have time I am going to make a minecart system that goes across the bridges and perhaps to my main mine. During the day I do all my work gathering materials and when night falls I close the gates on my island and craft-smelt-build up my resources. I spent about 8 hours today, it is amazingly addictive.
edit it in with NBTedit or something after you kill the skeletons and destroy the cage

You can't pick up the cages anymore.
Oh that sucks. What's with the ground around the spawn cage, though? Theres like vines all on it. Do those produce a different kind of stone, or not?
