Steam are not selling Metro in the UK. You'll have to get someone outside of the UK to buy it for you (like I did) or buy it retail and activate over Steam.

I can tell that this is going to be a looong 5 hours.

I mean there is literally no difference...oh right, you aren't paying any money and you aren't fostering the growth of the industry nor giving the people that toiled endlessly on the game their fraction of due rewards.
