Try restarting/updating your steam. I heard that they've fixed this problem.

I've said this a few times throughout the thread now.
Steam are not selling Metro in the UK.
You'll have to get someone outside of the UK to buy it for you (like I did) or buy it retail and activate over Steam.
I can tell that this is going to be a looong 5 hours.

I meant the wait until the game releases. Hopefully the game will be much longer than 5 hours.
@ Wakka
Existing pre-orders.
They aren't taking any more, believe me.

I heard somewhere that it's over 10 hours.
We reckon a first-time play through on normal will take you 10 hours minimum. The studio speed-run record is 7.5 hours...
Then there's Hardcore, and other reasons why you might want to replay!
Where do you think they get their food? The bread and the grain... I already know that they raise their own pigs.

If you think Metro 2033 will come on steam when it hits midnight, forget about it... Gotta remember valve time.
I'd imagine they stocked up on some stuff while the going was good.
it's almost go time
hmm this looks like it could be fun. $50 is a large commitment though
I love the X-rays lighting.

hydroponics?
hydroponics?
That was my initial guess, but there is no light source aside from oil lamps or hand crank generators.

There are holes/vents that lead to the surface, and they may have some sort of mirror system I dunno.
$50?! Who buys games anymore these days?? Just download it for free! It's the same game, no difference :)
(User was banned for this post ("Warez again" - Dragon))
man, i can't wait for tomorrow. God of War 3 and metro 2033 in one day...
@ above: yeah dude!! I mean there is literally no difference...oh right, you aren't paying any money and you aren't fostering the growth of the industry nor giving the people that toiled endlessly on the game their fraction of due rewards. And don't use the argument of "oh, well, it's only me just paying 50 bucks anyways" because if everyone does that, it makes a difference. A big one.
My "pre load" button on Steam now says play. TO METRO 2033 I GO
Edit:
Well Steam is lagging out horrendously now and I'm waiting for something to happen.

Yea ok...
Like $50 is hard to make anyways.
Decrypting! Can't wait to play!
Decrypting right now, although it's kinda stuck at 48%.

People who buy the game support the developers, Without supporting them, They get no Income, With no Income, No more games. Stop being a lazy fuck and buy it.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-
Decrypting is stuck at 48%.
Same for me.
