I'm scared to continue. I'm in an old building with nothing but the wind blowing and the sound of me breathing in my gas mask in my headphones. All I hear when I walk into a room are monstrous screams that make me not want to explore for more filters. I wish I wasn't such a pussy.
How can i fix the aspect ratio from being stretched at 1680 x 1050 on pc?

Taking off the headphones might help, you won't feel it as close to you, and it'll be easier to take it as just a game.
I personally enjoyed the sudden adrenaline rush I get when something just pops out of nowhere, attacking me.
Is this game scary?
I find STALKER and FEAR scary. :(
But I really like the looks and concept of this game.

I tried that but it just doesn't feel as fun. Especially cause I'm missing the music and other fun game events like the Ghosts part. I'll though it out it seems. Go through a little bit at a time.

What RPG elements are in this game? I know it isn't free world a stalker/falloutish game, but I saw posts talking about "Buying knives off a merchant" or "searching for filters"... are there other things to do besides the linear story, or are those parts of the story?

Aside from buying and selling, and the occasional NPC interaction, there aren't any rpg elements.
It's like what you would get if you mixed CoD Campaign mode with Stalker.

Well everyone lives in a fucking Metro system, its falling apart, supplies are scare, and to top it all off mutants are killing off the populations of many stations.
Its bleak.
I'm currently playing hard mode and got to the Library.
The Librarians are easy when 1v1. I just throw all my knifes into it's face and shotgun it.

Just reload the chapter and keep doing it until you don't get the bug. I got it just before, reloaded, and it was gone the next time through.

Just use load from the menu instead of continue.
This game is amazing, I really started to think deep about the game world when [sp]Khan revealed about how we managed to nuke Heaven , Hell and Purgatory to bits.[/sp]
Call me dumb but I just realized that the Metro 2033 map is [i]exactly[/i] the same as the real one. I thought they'd add some spice to it or something for gameplay but..
