I've done it FIVE TIMES already.

I'm sure you'll get past it eventually. :v:
Call me dumb but I just realized that the Metro 2033 map is exactly the same as the real one. I thought they'd add some spice to it or something for gameplay but..

My guess is why come up with a complicated subway system when the Moscow Metro is right there!
I'm sure you'll get past it eventually. :v:
I'll do it tomorrow.
For now, I'll yell profanities at your mother in my dreams.
Really, given an SDK, I'd be willing to go ahead and map out a ton of the other stations, also link together the stations so you can go back and forth, at the cost of the story of course.
Just use load from the menu instead of continue.
Load from where? The beginning of the game? The last closest station that had filters is like 10 levels back , i don't want to go through those levels again.
You don't get to visit every place you know.
Oh.
Load from where? The beginning of the game? The last closest station that had filters is like 10 levels back , i don't want to go through those levels again.
Load the part you're at from the menu, it'll start you at the start of the map you're on but you'll have more filters than you originally had.
this game seems to possess a deeper, more gripping story than stalker... can anyone confirm?
this game seems to possess a deeper, more gripping story than stalker... can anyone confirm?
I don't know, both take place in a post apocalyptic setting, so I don't know how deep it can get.
I don't know, both take place in a post apocalyptic setting, so I don't know how deep it can get.
STALKER takes place in Chernobyl and the surrounding area, so no post-apocalypse, just a post-nuclear reactor meltdown setting.
I am going to pre-purchase it sometime ( it is not out yet in Europe ), it says that I get one copy of Red Faction Guerrilla. But apparently that game is unavailable in my region.
So if I buy metro 2033, do I still get RFG or not ?
Just wanting to know.
I am currently at the part [sp]you have to man a mounted gun on a train buggy. There comes a panzer and the guy who's driving shouts, that I should shot the "supports". What the fuck are the supports he his talking about? Always ending up dead.[/sp] Guess I am too stupid for that game.

Another section for those of you who don't mind seeing ahead or aren't going to play it.

well, some of the trailers seem to present a deep gripping story. i'm missing that in STALKER... it's just WOW in singleplayer.
Anyone got the link for uk Metro 2033 i can't find it anywhere on steam pissing me off.
Well, my retail copy came today but I'm unable to install the damn thing until it's released on steam so I'll play my ..other copy for a little bit I guess. Pah, already found an automatic shotgun so I don't need the unlock code lol.

It's not available for us via steam anymore.
You have to buy it retail...and then wait for steam.
Stupid eh?
This simply is a linear, cinematic stalker. Nothing bad in that.

You don't need your gas mask for that part...
:downs:
Don't know if it's been posted, but:
PC players - a fix for the 'Black Screen' and Widescreen Support issues is coming via Steam later today
Nope still 0.
I beat the game:
[sp]Basically nuked shit, dunno if thats the good ending, probably.[/sp]
It was okay, some parts are bugged and irritating. Gun combat is... Bad. Stealth is null in this game, I tried it, several times. Knifing, the guy screams "AHHHH" and the rest come and try to kill me. Why can't you knife him where he shuts up and doesn't alert his fellows? As I said, Stealth, none.
The guns in the game are cool, though, are pathetically underpowered. While it being semi-realistic I don't think it should take 15 bullets dirty, to take down a little rat thing. Trust me, I was aiming at it.
There are a couple levels where you're left wondering, what the fuck. [sp]Are these aliens talking to me, or are they the "dark ones" ? they never really pointed it out, but I have a feeling they were the dark ones.[/sp]
All in all, it's a pretty good game. Not the best in my book.
I think I'm now at that place at the Depot. This guy givese me the tape but then nothing happens, what now?
I think that's the gamebreaking bug.

lrn2stealth
I'm able to stealth half an area full of guys before they find me.

uh huh.
I've had no problems with stealthing anyone. Although i was spotted by someone else after I killed about 3 guys, mainly because I didn't realise there was a balcony over my head. I managed to get right behind a guy and knife him in the head with no sound, also threw a knife at some guys heart and killed him.
Shooting feels okay too. I don't see what's wrong with it personally. Also it takes a bit to knock down these creatures as they're strong mutants..not just dirty rats :P

This. Game. Isn't. STALKER. It has Russian elements (Fucking moscow metro) mutations due to radiaton (This was a war, not a powerplant going boom) and ghosts. Makeshift weaponry and everything. They don't exist for money, they are there to survive, not get rich off artefacts.
METRO 2033 =/= STALKER
Been thinking of getting the game, but is it scary? I'm a little wuss and don't like horror games where hideous things pop out and try to kill you.
stealth isn't hard, you're doing it wrong.
