Looking at your specs however your GPU looks ancient and your RAM seems like it won't be enough.
I also may have found a way to get inf. throwing knives. Gonna test it later and see if it's something someone would actually want to do.

All of ATI's HD5xxx series support DX11 too.
I got my copy in the post today. Although it's arrived a day early, it would have been nice of them to at least let me install it.

You might be doing it wrong, then, considering this isn't a typical stealth game. The only problem I've had with stealth is when the enemies see their dead comrades and I get carried away.
Although the mutants are a little bit harder to stealth.

This game supports DirectX 9 so it works fine in XP

Well, if you're in a dark area and one of your mates goes down screaming as someone knifes him and he makes a fairly loud noise as he hits the ground and dies - I'm pretty sure you'd notice someone was there

if i could drag the body to a spot then it might be okay, but no. AI is too smart for a dumb aspect called "stealth" in this game.

Yay, I got my refund from steam. Now I guess I will install my copy from GAME tomorrow when it unlocks!
In the mean time I've been playing a little more of it, really enjoying it. Got me some nice gear. Is it me though or I don't know..game doesn't feel all that scary?
I have no idea why though, going underground in Stalker and going into dark places on Fear always had me on edge and spooked me but so far...I don't know, I just don't feel anything. Was expecting to be quite scary but..just isn't. :S
Possibly because everything is dark and underground so...there's no real safe area apart from stations. Meh, I don't care - loving the game! :D

Just drop the guy out of likley sight, if not - take out the next guy before he spots it and so on. I managed to get through a huge area without being seen once. I think I killed about 5 guys in total.
I hated STALKER's stealth. I'd shoot someone and boom they be shooting me through bushes and everything.

Stalker has no stealth killing system, like you can hide from people as long as you don't shoot anyone, but there's no way to kill someone without nearby people noticing.
