"Year 1905"
Now I'm probably really late on this, but does that mean that there are Tsar loyalists in here?
If so, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Got past the Librarians, just basically keep quiet and if you fuck it up run like fury!
Now I have to deal with these FUCKING BLOBS OF GOO.
I, for one, really liked this game. I got absorbed into the story and atmosphere despite the typical russian dev jankiness.
Yeah, I'm really not digging this game.
The combat is just god-awful. Half of the combat consists of you standing somewhere while waves of two or three monsters come at you until a door opens or something like that. And enemies can walk right through you so if you don't kill the mutants before they get close then it just turns into this huge clusterfuck.
The enemies are just annoying. There is supposed to be like one type of enemy in most games that is really fast, agile and hard to shoot, but it's really annoying when that is every enemy in the game.
This may be one of the only Linear games I have enjoyed.
Half Life?

Same here.
I wish it was longer though, I really want to keep exploring the tunnels.
Just beat the game. First time I [sp]shot the guidance control thing and the got the ending where you spare the Dark Ones and Artyom hints at some type of alliance down the line.[/sp] After that I loaded up the last checkpoint and [sp]let the guidance control computer finish it's countdown and nuked the Dark Ones.[/sp] So which one is the "correct" (canonical) ending? And are there anymore endings? Everyone seems to be getting the [sp]nuke the Dark Ones[/sp] and not the first one I got? Is everyone just [sp]letting the guidance computer count down while they stand around for 20 seconds? What the hell?[/sp]
I'm having a problem with Chapter 6 D6 [sp]after they open the airlock i followed them and open the following door then as soon as i reached the part near the final door the part where you have to defend vlad[/sp] i got stuck....nothing happens vlad and the others just stood there doing nothing, what am i supposed to do?
It's [sp][/sp].
i really enjoyed the game but i felt it was too short for $50

Well to get the ending you got it really relies on the 3 choices you make through-out the game. They are small but they are basically the ones that tie in. People don't stand there for 20 seconds if they don't get your ending, they just skip that part entirely. I have no idea honestly what is canon but I haven't read the book yet.
Damn this game is gorgeous, might just be a contender for actually being able to BEAT crysis... I'm probably getting my hopes up for nothing here but, after you beat the game, what happens? Does it just end or does it leave you to wander around? I know the answer will most likely be NO, it ENDS, but might as well ask.
It ends.
This game is amazing although it's a shame that not every part on the metro is available and there was this one map full of factions and informations. I wonder because a lot of factions weren't ingame. Like the Commonwealth or these other.
Anyone got a trainer for this game?
Is this more of a rental game do you think, guys?
Is this more of a rental game do you think, guys?
I'd go with the rental. It's not too long and you can't do much after you've finished the game except play it again.
Well I got the "good" ending. Still there are some few things which I don't understand.
[sp]Well, the Dark Ones want peace and want to understand us and all. Though it's a bit weird because they throw every goddamn nosalisis against humans. Understanding, eh? But maybe they're afraid of humans. Maybe I should read the book don't know if it contains a lot of information about this. The good ending was kinda of cool with that "alien" trying to reach the emitter. Although it's shit that you can only get the good ending when you didn't take the ammo and give em to this one guy. Bit confusing, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Still the game is fucking great![/sp]

I'm more than certain that this game will have a sequel.
It just leaves way too many open ends.
Well the novel sequel is already out.
You have an installer of it in the "install" folder, in the root folder of the game.
Found it, reinstalled it, still giving me trouble.

Yes, it will. The author of the original book published Metro 2034 online but in Russian, so can anyone here translate it for us?

A whole book? That would take months.
I'm stuck on Outpost after inserting the tape so the broadcast goes out. I go down the ladder and try to enter that one place with the destroyed cars but I always die. It never tells me how I died either. I turned around while going through that open gate and it wasn't those dragon things. I still died.
There's a hole somewhere at a staircase you're supposed to crawl through, I'm pretty sure the arrow points at it.
I hope this metro idea gets essentially 'copied' and turned into an open world game.
How cool would it be! It's like Fallout only underground.
I'm gunna pick up the book if I see it anywhere. Although I didn't like the game that much, but I thought the story and setting were really well done.
I'm stuck in the Dead City. [sp]Don't know if this needs spoiler tags, but whatever. That Bourbon guy just left me to walk around by myself and I just found some kind of pump weapon after I saw some winged creature, don't know what that was. Anyway, I don't see a way to continue. I try and go to the ground level but I die from radiation. Any help?[/sp]

[SP]You gotta go into the building. When walking towards where you find the Hellsing it's over a hill on your right. It's before where you get the Hellsing tough not in the same building.[/SP]

You need to go right to the build, from first winged thing position. But be careful! Firstly i run into it, and realised the "WTF?BOOOOOOM!"
