To run this how they intended it to look, you need a video card that isn't even out.
To run this how they intended it to look, you need a video card that isn't even out.
I'm sure my computer will suffice
Is there a reason for the ridiculous optimum requirements? It looks good, but not i7 good.
Just look at the old Stalker x-ray engine optimizations: The 4a engine will include much of the same stuff I assume; Approximate global illumination with local occlusion Deffered Supersampling 64X AA True Depth of Field Shoft Shadows Tonemapping wiht Eye Adaption Soft Particles Geometry Displacement Mapping. Whatever the processor or graphics card has trouble processing, I'm pretty sure it will allocate some RAM. [editline]04:42PM[/editline] To be honest, it remains a mystery.
Looks interesting. I'll probably get it.
Just preordered it. Can't wait for Tuesday.
Ffffffuck i can't wait
The first review is out and the game received a good review and scored pretty high; 9/10. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=238823 This is for the XBox. Imagine how it will run for the PC. :)
I want to read it but no one has it in English And I can't find it anywhere else.

Nifty, doesn't help me though. There are none in stock and there is no indication when there will be or a price range.
Looks like stalker, hell, even has a camp fire guitar man :banjo:

Metro 2034 sounds interesting though.
This game looks like fallout and STALKER mixed togeather. I really want it.
whoa it's coming out on wednesday that was sudden
$79USD? No thanks
Just ordered my copy on Steam. I suggest you don't just stand there Metro...Come in.
$79USD? No thanks
It is $50 USD. Silly billy.
It is $50 USD. Silly billy.
Not for me :frown:
Yeah publishers are becoming wise to steams massive on new titles discounts for Australians :P
Buying from Steam used to be cheaper than buying retail in New Zealand, that's why I used it. $100NZD is a lot for a new game, but now retail is becoming cheaper because publishers keep fucking over New Zealand and Australian users.
This game looks fuckin kickass, too bad I'm broke :saddowns:
Goddamnit, I really want to pre-order and pre-load this, but the frigging purchase button isn't actually there... The 'Available in 3 days bla bla' thing just points downwards to the About the Game section, there's no purchase button... This is the same for the online steampowered store as well as the in-Steam store.
I hope i get to shoot those communists at the red line and join the 1905 confederation. [editline]10:39AM[/editline] Oh yeah, and the "weak shooting" bit that they mentioned in the review can be easily fixed by increasing the firepower of each weapon, or by playing it on easy.
I hate it how everyone is bitching about this being " HURRR HALF-LIFE STALKER :downs:". I don't understand what is so bad about a linear game, Guiding the player along the pre-determined path for story works well in many cases and allows them to focus on key points in the game. Saying that it means you learn all the monster spawns is stupid, As the location of a monster spawn doesn't really make a game good or bad in most cases.

It's more prone to exploration.
If you read the book before playing the game, you will pretty much spoil yourself. It's exactly based off the book, not like Stalker.

On the one review that gave it a 9/10 says it's a fallout 3 theme, bioshock concept, with half-life 2 game mechanics sounds pretty badass.

Well I'm kind of excited for it but I don't want to buy into the hype, this could turn out like Darkest of Days or whatever.
Why must they always describe post apoc games by using Fallout 3?
Because that's the newest post apoc game as far as I know.
