I can't get past that part they keep killing my squad mate.
not that hard, just shoot the fuckers before they get too close and explode. [editline]03:40PM[/editline] Did it on my first try without any problems
I've changed the FOV using this method (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1192986), but everytime I start the game the FOV is reset to 45. What can I do?
That part was the worst part in the game and felt completely rushed and shitty.
Agreed, especially when the guy just walked through most of them and didn't even seem that bothered that he was getting drenched in ...acidy...radioactive...slimy shit. I didn't even realise he could die until he just took a load and then about 5 seconds later, randomly fell over.
I can't get past that part they keep killing my squad mate.
you CAN blow up the things they come out of
Russian voiceover is so much better than international, the game feels absolutely different.
Russian sounds glorious!
The game is godlike. Really. I was also one of the first that pre-ordered the english version of the novel. Yet, I think they could've included +12 hours of gameplay and perhaps a free-roam system. By the way, anyone knows where can I get the game's soundtrack or an extractor to browse it's content files? I really need one. Also, I got the alternate ending. And a safe spoiler here, It won't reveal a lot of details. (Honestly.) [sp]Well, I felt a needle on my chest after I've noticed the Dark Ones saved your ass several times. During "The Chase" one of them wakes you up. In that place where bourbon attempts to open that gate to gain passage and avoid the incoming horde of nosalises, if you look closely, a Dark One pulls your arm, helping you and him to the other side. There are many other examples as well. So I just -had- to replay the game and get good morale in order to spare them. I must admit, the alternate ending is way better than the normal one.[/sp]
use [sp][/sp]
Done.
Is anyone else annoyed that the NPCs never change their eye position. They're always looking straight forward at you. They never look at you from the side or anything. It just makes them look like androids.
What's the replayability value of this game? Is it sand boxy? I'm considering this or JC2 and I'm tied on which to get.
Get JC2 if you want a long playing time and a sandbox. Get Metro if you want a great story-driven game.
Agh which to get :suicide:
Get Just Cause 2. This isn't worth it in the long run.
I think I'm just going to go ahead and rent this for a week play through it get the endings and wait for the sequel.
Beat this in 4-5 hours...I would recommend you go with JC2 [editline]06:43PM[/editline] Yeah, or rent it.
Well I just beat it and I'm not really sure what happened. [sp]We climbed that tower and I then through some kind of mind maze thing and then I shot a bunch of missiles at some weird looking stuff in the city and then it was over[/sp] Could someone explain it to me? I honestly got lost on the story at the library. I don't even know why we had to go do all that stuff.

I don't remember all of the details after the library and up to that point but, that's what you were doing on the tower. You set up a laser beacon directing the nukes, basically. The mind maze thing...I guess it was some sort of test, but it also decides weather you get the good, or bad ending. Good being you don't kill the Dark One at the end of the maze, i think.[/sp]
"If it's hostile, kill it." "Kill all suns a' bitches."
*pic* wat
I don't quite understand, can someone explain?

Bah, anyone know when the book is gonna be published in the US? Edit: Translated an online version of it. Written very peculiarly I must say.
Bah, anyone know when the book is gonna be published in the US? Edit: Translated an online version of it. Unless you found a pre-translated version by the publishers of the book?
Eh, it's translated by Google Chrome. That might be why. But someone earlier in this thread said the book was written poorly. I'm not even sure if there are any translated hard copies in any book stores in the US. Here's an excerpt of the translation.
Who is there? Hey, Artyom! Just look! Artem reluctantly rose from his seat by the fire, and, pulling from his back to the machine chest, went into darkness. Standing on the edge of the illuminated area, he defiantly, as can be louder and more impressive, clicked the shutter, and a hoarse voice shouted: - Freeze! Password! Out of the darkness, where a moment ago, heard a strange rustling and muffled murmur, heard the rush, fractional steps. Someone retreated deeper into the tunnel, frightened voice hoarse Artemov and saber rattling. Artem hastily returned to the fire and threw Pyotr Andreyevich: - No, not shown. Do not named, escaped. - Oh, you razzyava! You also stated: do not respond - just shoot! "How do you know who it was?" Maybe it picked up black! - No ... I think this is not a man was ... sounds very strange ... And the steps he was not human. What am I, man steps out? And then, if it were black, so did they ever run away like this? You know, Pyotr Andreyevich - all recent times black immediately rushed forward - and on patrol attacked with bare hands, and the machine went into full view. And that got away at once ... What a cowardly creature. Okay, Artyom! It hurts you're clever! "Have you a manual - and act on the instructions, but do not argue. Maybe it was a spy. I saw that few of us here - and outnumbered ... Maybe we are here to swat for a sweet soul with a knife to the throat, and station all slaughtered, won both Polezhaevskaya happened, and all because you did not cut the reptile on time ... Look at me! The next time the tunnel will make them run!
"What am i, man steps out? And then, if it were black, so did they ever run away like this?" I can't read this seriously, it makes me giggle...
