6 or so arrows to the face takes them down, and they stand there beating their chests so you can line up the shot.
Not difficult at all.
Has anyone got iz3d drivers to work with this? I wanna check it out in 3d.
I'm stuck at the part where Khan asks you to close the airlock at Curse. Only problem is, I can't seem to equip my gas mask, the icon just flashes red. What gives?
Turn off that trainer and play it on Hardcore.
I beat hardcore mode and had no trouble with the librarians.
Also to above, you might be out of filters.
...Lastly, does the Sherlock achievement come from finding the 5.56 ammo at city stations or throughout the whole game? I'm carefully combing through all locations for the ammo. So far, I've found 4 pickups in "Let the Journey Begin,' 17 pickups in "Bourbon," and 16 in "Market."
Sherlock comes from picking up ammo in the City Stations. What happens and what you find in between doesn't count towards it. You should unlock it at the Armory Station, but I'll tell you right now some of those bullets are stupidly well hidden.
just got this today, installing now ye boii.
Damn I hate it when people compare STALKER to Fallout 3. STALKER was in development years before Fallout 3 was even thought of.
if we're talking ripoffs, then STALKER, in turn was ripped from Fo1/2 which in turn was ripped from the 50's Post-Apoc flics which again was ripped from some peoples individual view of post-apocalyptia smacked together, which again i derived from flawed religion which again is ripped directly off of an anchient fantasy which again is ripped from tribe warrior tales, which again is ripped off of actions of war, which spring out of hunters fighting because they take tales by the fire way to seriously, which is derived from flaws in the human logic which has been there ever since we started being self consious, which happened because Eve ate an apple or by evolution depending on what's your cup of tea, which depends if you're british enough to drink that piss...
everything is one giant rippoff or based on something else... GTFO.

I hate posters like you. "Look how snarky I am! I MUST be right!" Also, STALKER has nothing to do with Fallout, everything from game mechanics to universe to setting are different.

Yes, please get out.
The game's awesome, though I'm still in the second level :ohdear:
what, I can run this suprisingly well. Everything on very high, max resolution, and an average of 40fps. :haw:

Regardless, he has a point about everything being a copy of something else.
The STALKER series is basically the movie Stalker/book Roadside Picnic set in the Zone of alienation.

FUCK FINALLY im glad you agree with me it looks exactly like stalker
i still really want it but you absolutely cannot deny it is very stalkerish

i think i was kinda agreeing with you that the whole "OMG RIPOFF" thing is redundant, but thanks weird little poster, for throwing nailcovered rocks at me.
i'd say you envy me? why'd you get angry at me over that post? i was going on a thought stream to prove that everything is based on something and people need to stop the "OMG THIS IS STALKER 4 with some HAFF LEIF!"
sorry for offending your gangsta ass... i didn't mean to. well, now i do mean to, but that's because you're over aggressive and to me, seem like a real cunt.
but i'll have forgotten soon and we'll hopefully get along.

pretty much what i meant. i think it's kinda purposeless to drool over "ripoffs" when all, infact is based on the human imagination which again is based off/ evolved by the surrounding reality.
especially when it's on this level where these games are based on the same foundation... ofcourse they're very alike
i didn't mean to offend with my post, i WAS overdoing it quite purposely to make a point.

probrably yes, i need to get this game.
Gah. I want this game so bad. :(
I didn't know when the last trader would be so i saved ammo the WHOLE GAME LONG and didn't even get to use it in a boss fight because i was "saving it".
Why must i always do this kind of stuff.

I don't like your attitude.
I don't like your attitude.
i did NOTHING offensive and NOTHING with an attitude. i just said i can't take the "OMG RIPOFF" statements seriously.
some reasons are the fact that STALKER and METRO are from the almost same source so OFCOURSE they're alike... and what is it with people and "hurr, fallout 3 invented post-apocalyptia"?
tell me what attitude you dislike so i can stow it away, i dislike knowing that my behavior makes people dislike me. but if you dislike me just for the sake of it, i don't give a... k?
Page king with a yell'n'baww post... sorry.
Is there any real difference between the dirty bullets and the pre-war made ones?
Pre-war ones do more damage.

Has anybody found a good wiki?
Also I'm confused, small question.
So, prewar bullets are used as currency.
Are they the same as prestine bullets?
Are there three levels of bullets? Military(currency), prestine, then dirty?
Also, what does the pneumatic rifle fire?
Frankly I really freaking like this game, in my opinion it is underrated in some locations. It appeared to have received mixed reviews, some people loved it and some people hated it, I am present in the positive impression group.
One more thing, i absolutely love being stealthy in missions against other humans, this game presents a surprisingly large amount of tactics and strategies.
Just got Sherlock. Cool. That makes 100%. Here are my notes on finding each ammo pickup in the four cities. They're listed in a manner that proceeds with the level.
Exhibition- Four pick ups.
-First clip picked up by default
-Found by lamp sitting near room 09. It's sitting in a pot with a flower design.
-Next to guitar player that's standing up around a little fire (you'll take a karma hit).
-Right behind the man in front of the first pig pen, sitting on a small crate.
City where you meet Bourbon- 17 pick ups.
-Given to you by the caravan escort.
-Located in a sink within the bar.
-On an empty table in the bar.
-Behind a sitting beggar with a bowl in front of him, sitting behind a stack of pallets.
-Next to masked guard and filing cabinets in the corner on the ground.
-Downstairs from bar, head to the far left platform. It's on the ground close to a pallet jack between railing segments.
-In empty sleeping chamber, close to three men sitting around a fire.
-Facing the ditch the kid runs through to lead you to Bourbon, head left. It'll be sitting on top of a shack behind a wooden support.
-While moving through the ditch, you'll see two sleeping men on your right. It's next to bottom man's feet.
-Head towards the end of the ditch and you'll see three outhouses, it sits inside the third stall on your right.
-Climbing out of the ditch, it's behind a candle on a box.
-Head into dark passage on right and turn left. It's sitting on some boxes.
-Proceed through dark passage. Next pick up is behind a candle on top of an electrical box.
-Go over to 'Next Door Nikki's' place and across from her pad, you'll find it next to a sleeping man inside a partially opened door.
-Before the bridge leading to Bourbon, peep inside the partially opened gray door. On ground next to bed.
-Clip given to you by Bourbon.
-On table behind Bourbon.
Market- 16 pickups.
-Inside a crate to the left of your starting position.
-When you move through the doorway past the guard, make a right U-turn to face some lockers. Inside locker on right.
-Look left of lockers. Next to candle on shelf.
There are three inside the train car
-Check first bunk bed on your right. It's packed tightly in the corner.
-Head to the end towards the outhouse. Check the left bunk bed.
-Directly behind you in corner of bunk bed.
-Bourbon gives you another clip.
-On ground behind crates to right near the radio man.
-On a ladder in the darkness after the radio man.
-On table in bar area by sleeping man.
-Next to last bullet on bar shelf behind a tankard.
-Beneath chopping block with pig's head on top.
-Beneath a loaded pallet jack between tool and seed(?) merchants.
-On a seat loaded with luggage and two men next to an inaccessible ladder.
-In next chamber, on the ground behind a railway cart to your right.
-On top of a metal cabinet, behind a black gas tank next to a man leaning against the wall.
Armory- Five pickups.
-End of walkway, past the doorway to your right, on the ground next to some barrels.
-Facing the closed ammo exchange kiosk, turn around. It's on top of a crate, next to a cardboard box.
-While fleeing handcuffed and after the bit where you have to duck to avoid being shot, keep an eye to your right. It's on top of a crate close to some barrels.
-From Andrew's room, turn right. At the barred doors, turn right again, it's sitting on a crate.
-Final pick up is inside the small pit your drop into to board the soldiers' trolley. It's on the ground behind the ladder's right foot.

The pre-war 5.56 rounds are used as currency and ammunition.
The Tihar pneumatic rifle fires small lead balls.

While there are similarities, I don't think it looks very similar to stalker at all. Different models, different textures, higher quality textures, better animations, etc. Just because it's engine was originally based on Xray doesn't mean it looks the same.
