It's got the concrete hallway and pipes look of Stalker labs.
uhhh why does dx11 run like absolute shit for me in bc2 and avp dx11 runs a fucktonne better than dx9 and 10. so why does metro 2033 dx11 run so bad?
This game had me so absorbed I felt like I was actually the Protagonist.
This game has some seriously sad music, you can barely hear it ingame sometimes though.
If it's one thing I liked about this game, it was the soundtrack. Sometimes I just look up soundtracks of games before I even finish the game. Hearing music like this in the background of a already atmospheric game makes it even the more interesting.
this game is so incredibly detailed I actually feel guilty for not spending more than 5 minutes in a room admiring everything shot in da neck mofucka
Dang, I wish this game was longer It has such a great atmosphere, really draws you in.
yeah, it looks nice i really wish dx11 ran as well as it should, at least compared to all my other dx11 games. sticking to dx9 for now since it's about three times as fast. Wait, i'm now in dry station, how much more game is there?
Lots. Dry station is still pretty early.
I'm at the communist frontline, after falling off the cart. There's this guy yapping about how "Each man will get one full clip as down payment, but we expect it to spend it on your enemy!" And then there's this set of stairs that you walk down on the left side, but then I can't figure out what the fuck to do, whenever I try to kill the men down there I always alert the guards. Help?
Silencer, shoot lights, get NV from body, use throwing knives, etc.
I haven't got any silenced weapons :c
I hate how it turns into a ''save the world!!!1'' in the end.
I hate how it turns into a ''save the world!!!1'' in the end.
[sp]too bad thats the bad ending =/[/sp]
Bad ending is also canon.
Anyone mind spoiling the other ending for me? I got: [sp]You go through the maze and such at the end, Miller comes out of a wall, hands me a revolver and says "If it's hostile, Kill it" or something like that. I shoot the "dark one" and kill it. it pops back to the tower and the missiles landing on the dark ones home place. [/sp]
I'll just leave this here.
Silencer, shoot lights, get NV from body, use throwing knives, etc.
You can get some Nv goggles by going to the opposite end of the bridge from the direction you're meant to travel, past some sick people lying down and down into some basement thingy.. I just found a pair of NV goggles in there, made sneaking through the rest of the area a peice of cake.
There a free pair of NV goggles right at the begging of the level. after you [sp]fall through the floor of the cart[/sp] walk down the tunnel in the direction you came from, kill the two guards, and there's a pair of goggles in a box on the wall.
I didn't actually use the NV goggles once in the game. I found them to be too obtrusive for the benefit they gave and really didn't see a need for them. It might be my monitor, but I could still see fairly decent in the darkest areas, and the flashlight usually served my purpose well enough.

If you have the stealth suit that can be bought at some stations, like the one before the [sp]Frontlines level[/sp] you can easily sneak past them if you can time your actions correctly.
I hate how it turns into a ''save the world!!!1'' in the end.
You don't save the world. :downs:
Stop comparing this amazing game to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Fallout, they are nothing alike. Play the game before you judge it. I, on the other hand, have beaten this game twice, once on normal and once on hardcore, and it is one of the best games I have played that has single player.
I don't like this game, This game should be renamed to Crashtro 2033, Fear the Crashes... Fire a sniper rifle, CRASH!, a granade exploded right next to you, CRASH!... in some areas my movement is studderring, and lag in some areas... God damnit, I want to get one of those new rifles to replace my god damn bastard gun but you can't, instead you got to buy them, but THEY ALL RESERVED OR SOLD OUT! this game fucking sucks, the graphics look nice and so is the storyline, but this game is so god damn laggy, and fucking bugs and crashes everywhere make this game look nothing more then a piece of HD shit! The developers should have their dicks chopped off.

Greedy fucking bastards. (User was banned for this post ("Warez" - Benji))
I'm at the Library, how far am I in?

That's like complaining about a messed up hot dog after trying to steal one from a vendor and in the process beating the guy selling them to a bloody pulp all while having more than enough cash to ask nicely and buy one yourself.

This is the Metro 2034 intro translated by Google Chrome. Eh, added and removed some words here and there so that it makes more sense. Hopefully when it is published in English it will be better.
2034 The whole world lies in ruins. Mankind has been destroyed almost completely. Because of the high level of radiation dilapidated cities became unsuitable for living. Outside are rumored to begin endless scorched deserts and wild mutated forests. But the remnants of the civilization gradually become just memories, grow into fiction and become legends. Twenty years have passed from the day when the last plane left the ground. Corroded by rust, railroads lead to nowhere. Airwaves are empty, and radio operators hear only a sad wail when tuning in frequencies on which before originated from New York, Paris, Tokyo and Buenos Aires. More than twenty years have passed after it happened. But people have already lost dominion over the earth. Mangled by radiation and other consequences of what happened a better people suited to the changed world. The human epoch has ended. But they do not want to believe it. There are only a few tens of thousands, and they do not know whether anyone survived, or if they are what's left - the last people in this world. They live in the Moscow metro - the largest anti-nuclear air-raid shelter ever built by man, in the last refuge of humanity. Almost all of them were in the subway that day, and this saved their lives. They are protected from radiation and the monstrous creatures from the surface. Worn out filters purify water and air. Assembled by skilled craftsmen dynamos produce electricity, and in underground farms they cultivated mushrooms and pigs, but those who are poor do not receive it. The central control system collapsed long ago and the station turned into a dwarf state, people who rallied around the ideas, religions, water filters, or simply because of the need to reflect the attacks of an enemy. This is a world without tomorrow. There is no place for dreams, plans, expectations. Feelings are giving way to the instincts, the chief of which - to survive. Survive at any cost.
