I don't like this game, This game should be renamed to Crashtro 2033, Fear the Crashes... Fire a sniper rifle, CRASH!, a granade exploded right next to you, CRASH!... in some areas my movement is studderring, and lag in some areas... God damnit, I want to get one of those new rifles to replace my god damn bastard gun but you can't, instead you got to buy them, but THEY ALL RESERVED OR SOLD OUT! this game fucking sucks, the graphics look nice and so is the storyline, but this game is so god damn laggy, and fucking bugs and crashes everywhere make this game look nothing more then a piece of HD shit! The developers should have their dicks chopped off.
The game sucks because your computer can't handle it. Makes sense.
Nevermind, mystery solved. But those fucking librarians.. :ohdear:
The game sucks because your computer can't handle it. Makes sense.
my computer can handle it, it's one of the state-of-the-art computers that can run crysis on very high with medium lag issues... I have an AMD Phetom II Black Edition x4 3.02 GHz (it's overclocked too around 3216.4 MHz), ATI Radeon HD 5850 w 1/GB, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, Windows 7 X64 bit edition, etc etc.

Don't pirate it. I have had absolutely no issues like what you are saying.

Who knows what your issue is?
I have an AMD Pheom I x4 2.2GHz, and a nVidia 9600GT (512mb), 4GB DDR3 RAM, Windows 7 x64, and I can run the game on normal likely.
I have a P4 3.0 GHz, 8600 GT 256mb, 4GB DDR RAM, Wind 7 x32 and can run this game fine on Normal settings. On High settings, everything runs at around 25 FPS.

I guess you got a bad one or something. Just buy it.

I have this strange glitch where I can't pause unless I'm at a vendor. It's kind of annoying when I have to get up.
I'm running the game on a Intel core 2 duo E8400 4gb of ram and a GTX 260 On Dx10 Very high settings and it's running great finished the game. Very very good graphics.
This is the Metro 2034 intro translated by Google Chrome. Eh, added and removed some words here and there so that it makes more sense. Hopefully when it is published in English it will be better.
Thanks for this, but that intro sounds almost the same as Metro 2033. Besides establishing the setting it doesn't bring anything new to the table about plot or anything specific.
Does anyone else get this weird bug where bringing up the watch while holding the auto shotgun makes the screen go all foggy and condensed. Switching to other weapons and using the watch are fine but it happens all the time now with the shotgun. I don't think it happened before.
The screen is supposed to blur when you look at your watch--it's simulating your eyes focusing.
Well it only happens on the shotgun. Every other weapon I bring up the watch and its crystal clear with no blur but with the shotgun I can bring up the watch and no matter how long I hold the key it stays blurred.

anyone else feel that hard isn't, well hard? i don't understand the use for medkits, i haven't used one in the whole game. and you can take out a squad or even a base of dudes with a machete
I thought it was a fun game to play. I had no problems with the game be buggy at all. other than the enemy AI was a little retarded in one place.
Stop comparing this amazing game to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Fallout, they are nothing alike. Play the game before you judge it. I, on the other hand, have beaten this game twice, once on normal and once on hardcore, and it is one of the best games I have played that has single player.
Why is it a problem that people compare it to STALKER? Don't even try to deny it, it's so much like STALKER. Or don't you like it? Is that the problem?
Well it does call snorks, snorks. And likewise with stalkers on the surface, but either way it's an awesome game. Goes really nice alongside stalker.
Why is it a problem that people compare it to STALKER? Don't even try to deny it, it's so much like STALKER. Or don't you like it? Is that the problem?
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is nothing like this game. I found the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series pretty damn boring, while this game is immersive and well-made and awesome.
This game wasn't worth buying, a rent, but not a buy.
How long is this game? How many hours?
How long is this game? How many hours?
Its not incredibly long, if you aren't the kind of guy that can play the same game a few times over, its not long enough to be a buy, but definitely worth a rent.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is nothing like this game. I found the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series pretty damn boring, while this game is immersive and well-made and awesome.
This game is a lot like stalker, the looting, the whole feel to it, buying, some of the weapons are kind of similar. Metro 2033 was boring after 1 playthrough, i've played stalker through many times, but you're entitled to your opinion.
I keep getting the X3D audio .dll error. I've tried reinstalling the game, verifying the cache, etc... Help?
This game is a lot like stalker, the looting, the whole feel to it, buying, some of the weapons are kind of similar. Metro 2033 was boring after 1 playthrough, i've played stalker through many times, but you're entitled to your opinion.
That's the worst problem about Metro 2033. Unlike Stalker, it's linear and that's a downside compared to Stalker. Althrough the game mechanics, the fighting system and the fact that it's made of an awesome book and the amount of polishing made Metro 2033 a good game. Seriously through, several places in the game look like the parts of the Chernobyl NPP, X18 and Agroprom from Stalker, and a load of characters and models from the game resemble or are the direct copies of the ones from Stalker.
I get irked when people say linearity is always a bad thing. I mean, the Half Life series is linear, and thats my favorite series of all time!
