All those little blobs go straight to him, it's a grim example of how poor game design can ruin everything. At least have some form of ammo supply lying around...dead bodies with some ammo would certainly help.

But god damn there are too many and they move too fast. They swarm everywhere making you kill the water instead of the blobs. And when they blow up in your face, it leaves shit all over your face for like 10 seconds blinding you while it continues to swarm you and your partner while it's still continuously blinding you and blowing up shit in your face. You can kill the things that produce the blobs if you shoot them a few times. I honestly had no trouble with that on hardcore, but it did take me a while to figure it out.

The ammo in the locker is still hardly sufficient...
Well then you have a pretty big problem if you have no ammo at that point. I had over 200 military ammo which I used.

ah i googled the ending and how to get it. that's so fucking lame, i did everything right that i was PROMPTED to do, except all the smaller things I must not have found during the levels such as giving random people money. If I'd had the choice I would. Oh and except that on the stealth missions I got fed up and killed everybody. It was just too easy not to. Walk into room full of nazis, slowly aim for each head one by one, take no damage. It was ridiculous, i felt like I was doing a school shooting or something, it was far too easy.

If you're where I think you are, look in the front of the cart at the bit right before the blobs where the games saves. There's a good amount of ammo there.

I did the same/simmilar, its really entertaining killing them, throwing all the knives at their faces, and then pulling em out rinse and repeat. I thought they would be more deadly even on normal.

Finally got to play it. It is qite amazing but much unlike the book.
In the book, the metro isn't much of a closed and tight place but more just empty.
Also wood is decribed as one of the most valuable ressources, in the game it's everywhere. The people are much tio talkative for my taste but meh.
The book itself is full of philosophy, not horror. The real horror comes from the loneliness and the desperate situation of humanity and the dreams he has. The game fails at that a bit since most of its horror comes from the creepy souraoundings.
It's still amazing but not what I thought it would be since I read the book first.

People will always be social, everyone in metro 2033 has gotten used to the situation, it's grim but it doesn't change, so basically they sort of adapted and can live their lives.
Doesn't mean those lives are long though.
