Why is this?
Because holding the reload button instead of pressing it changes between normal and military (money) ammo.
Yeah, I agree with this - I love Metro 2033, and it is very atmospheric, but something about the Zone makes me like it more. Both are great games with amazing atmospheres and stories, though.
Anyways, I just finished Metro 2033 for the first time and got the Enlightened ending. That was amazing, I really hope THQ don't screw up 2034.

It's not hard, but you can change the difficulty, if you want. And what level do you mean by ranger outpost? Driving to Sparta?
I'm not stuck in the game, steam cloud only saves settings which is useless to me as I thought it saved the game. I don't have the save game anymore and I don't want to start over again as that would just ruin the experience for me. Yes driving to Sparta.
Anyone?
Just got the game. i just got seperated from bourbon and i'm too fucking scared to go one alone :) made it to a part where this flying demon bitch thing faced it back towards me and now i dont know where to go :/ halp.
Use your compass.
it points me to some wall :downs:
FUCKING NOSALISES :argh:
Just completed the game, [sp]climbing up to the tower was amazing, but the ending seemed unsatisfying for me.[/sp] It was incredible fun, though a bit short.
Which ending did you get? There's two.

If you're in the dead city, you need to go up a pretty steep slope in order to get into the hotel. That part had me stuck for a few minutes wondering where to go.

[sp]I shot the strange mutant that were in my visions or something, The missiles were launched, a small bit of the city was blown, then he talked about life in the metro I think.[/sp]
I didn't know there were 2 endings :downs:
I bought the THQ pack while it was on sale for $50, since I wanted this anyway and it was $50 by itself. Waiting for it to download. I'm assuming it's good?

There's an enlightened ending. You perform certain actions differently in the game ([sp]Namely, during a few of the "dream sequences."[/sp]) , and then in the end you have a different, more fulfilling outcome.
Neither ending actually corresponds with the book, however, but both are very satisfying. They're kind of open-ended, and you really have to scrutinize details from the storyline to fully understand what happens with either of the endings.

Oh yes. There's a few nuisances with gameplay, but nothing you don't adapt to rather quickly. If you're hoping for the hardcore, "Never have more than 60 shells at a time," experience, play it on Hard. If you just want to play it for the story and casual experience, normal is fine.
I got this with the THQ pack. The atmosphere was perfect, awesome game.

It was sorta clear, the nosalasis were trying to stop them from destroying them, but they could only truly communicate with him through "dreams" outside of it the Nosalasis' instinct kicked in of attacking. I'm sure that when you've done either the Nosalasis would've either A) Stopped attacking you B) Died out or C) Gone away.

they're called Dark Ones. Nosalises were those mutants with the snout noses that attacked you almost every time you were in a tunnel and there weren't human enemies.
Then change Nosalises with Dark ones then.
Cant wait for Metro 2034! im reading the book right now after i beat Metro 2033 and so far i like the book alot. Only thing about Metro 2033 is that i wish they would have made it alittle more free-roamish because they give you a map of this HHYOOOJJ metro network and you cant really go very many places.
I liked Metro 2033 :haw:
Mind If I wright the next thread?
what is the DLC even supposed to be?
How exactly would DLC work since it is only a linear single player game...
No one really answered me here.
But I think I might have figured it out. Apparently there's more books in the series? If they were smart (and awesome) the DLC would be pretty much an "expansion" continuing the story. Metro 2034 or whatever. I have a bad feeling it probably isn't that though and just some gimmicky thing.
I have no idea how you could really add DLC in this game.

Horde/Survival mode or something like that. Nearly all games need a mode like that [/sarcasm]. But in all serious, what they are prepping (some new weapons and an even harder mode) does sound a bit underwhelming. But then again, it will include Miller's Railgun, so.... yeah.
