Battlezone was the first computer game I ever played. It holds a very special place in my heart.

I wish Activision would release them for free, there's only like 3 servers for Battlezone II, one of which is those bloody 'vet' strategy servers which are always full and where you get kicked if you're not amazing.
What do people think of Battlezone II's unofficial expansion, Forgotten Enemies, and it's unofficial expansion, FleshStorm?
I think my dad got battlezone 1 with his IBM computer back in 1998. I played that for hours, but I didn't understand english at the time which made the game hard to play. I recently had battlezone 2 installed, I enjoyed it quite a lot. A great game in my opinion. I'd like to see a battlezone 3 with a good story, same gameplay and such. It'd fucking rock.

This game needs some epic remakes!
I planned to pick this up when I was younger, but I never got it. Oh well.
I liked being a pilot in multiplayer, which meant you did not command anything and only followed what your commander told you I was his ace; when he needed something done he would call on me. I was always there, completing missions, fixing situations. It got to the point where he had me jetpack with a sniper rifle behind enemy lines to cause havoc, which I did. Soon, he assigned me my own squad, who followed me victoriously into many battles. We were on the last assault, when, a surprise attack hit the base. He did not want to give up our assault, so he sent me back. I arrived to see in the last ditch effort the enemy comm spammed a bunch of scouts and dropped in rocket infantry. I got to work, dodging rockets and wrecking shitty machine gun scouts with my modified chain gun spitting tank, and soon, the attack was a heap of scrap metal. I rejoined my commander, who now had his scout on the hill, and we sat side by side in our vehicles to watch as our last assault crushed the enemy, and we knew we would never see each other again, and you just lost the game.

I actually can't wait for my copy of BZII to arrive D: And I also have HAWX and Haegemonia: Legions of Iron ordered D:
God damn I remember this game (BZ1) I found it on a shelf in an old mouldy garage at a sale, and it was one of the best games I had ever played. I hadn't been able to get MP to work when I had played it (back in 1999 or something like that) so I just flew around the maps with bots.

All alone...

yeah I just found the disk and got the newest version anyone up for a game
Hey people, I was surfing the net and I came across this forum. I saw you talk about Battlezone series here. I would like to add that Battlezone 1 is much better than Battlezone 2, and Battlezone 1 is considered by many as one of the best games of all time. Many people still play the game online and even the original programer came back to game and is making a new patch that will make the game run more smoothly on newer systems. There is all-in-on installer that you can download and join the online fun or just play singleplayer. If you are interested in the game visit the Battlezone 1 community at www.battlezone1.net
Oh the nostalgia. I only ever played the first - and it was epic. I completed the USSR campaign before the USA campaign, though, and I fell in love with the last mission because it was so much fun smashing the Americans with the kick-ass Furies. But then I got a huge shock one time when I tried to beat the level without piloting a Fury and suddenly found my kick-ass fleet of monster-ships turning against me.
