Chet Faliszek says Portal 2 is "Absolutely the Best" game made by Valve

Oh man, I am completely hyped up for this. I just got my pre-order.
Today is the perfect day to pre-order Portal 2, I can still get the discount, pre-load the game, and get Borderlands: GOTY all for $51.
linear FPS that lasts 20 hours but it's all the same shit!
I think you put an extra zero in there somewhere.
S' called custom maps
and playing co-op with your friends
and making custom maps
hell, portal is 45 minutes long (for me) and I've been making maps and playing it again and again for 2.5 years
I have high hopes for portal 2
I always thought when Portal was released that custom maps would keep it interesting for ages. It didn't though. Most maps were recycled ideas from the full game and it was rare to find a puzzle that was as clever as any of Valve's.
But hey, maybe all the new shit will make that easier for the modding community.

imo the flash map pack was very good for that

Sorry I was typing with one hand whilst eating some strawberries.

Sure you were.

As I said, rare.
imo the flash map pack was very good for that
I agree. The flash pack was one of the few packs that I played that was creative and challenging, yet not ridiculously difficult or heavily reliant on flings.
Not to mention that most Portal mods try to add their own original testing materials that don't work out well, like the vitality detectors in Portal Pro.
I know it's usually true
but they literally say this every time they're done with a title
Ehh, I'm sure they always say they're really excited about it or that they think "we're really going to like it" but they're talking about it like it goes above and beyond.
The fact that it's a puzzle game means the gameplay is going to be fucking amazing, and it sounds like the story and humor are going to be very entertaining. I can see why they're excited.

Feeling pretty good about pre-ordering it yesterday.
My computer is going down for repair on Friday, it won't get back for 2 weeks :frown:
I'm gonna miss Portal 2's launch.
:sympathy:
I'm going to Washington DC/New York city 1 day after launch for two weeks. I must play the FUCK out of this game.
Friends skeptical as to if Portal 2's gonna be good so I sent him this article in steam chat.
He sent this in response:

He's dumb, not you.
I disagree with Chet because while Portal is good, it's no TF2 or HL.
I still can't wait for the 19th.

He taught me how to say "gibs" correctly.
As for the best game, I hate to say I am still a HL fan in a Portal forum, but we have not seen Valve's first 10 minutes of HL2: Episode Three. The last video Valve made of HL2 was their remake of the 1984 Mac ad.
The thing about Portal 2 and the PS3 together ordeal, while I doubt it, it would be nice if custom made maps were possible and CoOp-able on the PS3 version, because TF2 was certainly left out of those updates.
If the Propulsion Gel can be used in different ways, for custom maps, fun ways, that was really the only thing that intrigued me, because I don't remember getting to fool around with pumping massive sticky stuff out in HL2, like you can in Portal 2, as it spills all over and splashes all over the place. I wonder if it can splash and block your view.
Sorry to be the Negative Nancy here but isn't the latest game Valve releases always their "best game ever"?
Sorry to be the Negative Nancy here but isn't the latest game Valve releases always their "best game ever"?
Of course, why would they intentionally make their latest games worse?
(console versions) get splitscreen. I'm forever alone.
You get to enjoy good controls and dedicated servers.
of course they're going to say that, they need to sell their product
I don't think it would convince many people to buy it if he said "yeah its pretty good, not our best though"

Are you fucking kidding me?

Is that why I'm being pelted with boxes?
[editline]14th April 2011[/editline]
Anyways, he say's he's not going to expect it to be "the second coming of christ" until it's out and reviews are in.

pretty sure the PC will have splitscreen as well. L4D2 did, even though it was finicky and you had to use the console, maybe portal 2 will have a menu for it.

How does splitscreen work on a PC, anyway?
Multiple keyboards?
Gamepads?
l4d series are one the few most repetitive games ive played
they're pretty repetitive but you've probably spent SO much more time on them then a average singleplayer game.
Damn I cant get Portal 2 because I dont have money on my Paypal and I have 50$ RL but I cant get them in the Paypal Account
