In the options menu there is a setting for resolution.

And it does not work.
Fullscreen mode has crashed game for 5 years on three different computers.

I never had it not change the resolution, though I have had fullscreen crash me before.
Try going into Settings.ini in Base.rte, and manually change the value. It is the very first value.
Tweak it until it is the biggest it can be while still having good performance, I would recommend full screen width, but maybe half of your native height?
Honestly, I wish cortex command would get picked up by a more talented programmer. It could be so much more. Don't get me wrong I've gotten my money's worth over the years, and more, but even after all this time it feels very unfinished.
I don't even think he should have released it on steam until it was running better
and this is coming from someone who loves the game

Mountains of wasted potential :v:

Changing it via .ini worked.
That's already pretty easy to do, just set your resolution up so that it,s covering both screens then go splitscreen.
Meanwhile I've dug up my near-decade-old post it with my key on it and made it work.
Oh yeah by the way, CC has a game hub and it's full of people complaining.
Well, it doesn't seem like the game likes 1920x2160 all that well.
Anyone else know a way to get the game across two screens?
I just want workshop for this game, sifting through the mod forums and installing each mod was a bitch back in the day for my tiny 14 year old brain to comprehend.
Hahahaha, someone on the game hub are asking if anyone could "Implement CCs concept over Terrarias engine" hahahahahaha what a retard
HAHAHAHAH he says the only difference between the CC engine and the Terraria engine is the size of the blocks hahahaha i am dieing
It's quite saddening to look at the Cortex Command game hub on steam.
How do you access CC on steam if you have HiB2?
How do you access CC on steam if you have HiB2?
Go to your bundle page and click the steam keys button. They added another for CC
How do you access CC on steam if you have HiB2?
Go to the main humble bundle page and log in or sign up with the e-mail you used to buy HIBs in the past. They should be auto-added to your acccount. Go to "my account", scroll all the way down, and click on the "Humble Indie Bundle 2" link, then on the "Click here for your Steam and Desura keys" button. You should see the button to redeem your CC key on top of the others.

I don't it's that Data isn't talented, I just think he never really dedicated enough time into the game. I mean, sure, 11 years, but each updates was months away, usually bringing little content. I really hope that now after full release he'll start properly adding more interesting stuff (I mean, there are a bunch of features that never got added but appeared planned), but I doubt it. I feel like this official release is an excuse to stop working on the game, and despite being told other-wise I still think that the full release was more than just an excuse to get it properly on Steam... I really hope that it does get works on, though.
If he does change projects, I at least wish that he releases the source code. Yeah, the lua scripting is powerful but you can't change the real gritty insides to add entire new game mechanics without the source.
EDIT:
Also, about watching 2 or more AI fight without you being involved (spectator mode), that should work for campaign battles as well as scenarios, if it ever is implemented.
you know data has like a life and full time job and this is just a side project right?
[editline]29th September 2012[/editline]
he's basically making a game on the time we shitty unpaid modders would make some crappy mod for half life 2 or something like that
He's asking money for a side project. If this was a free mod, I would understand, but it's not, it's a full game.
What build is this on right now?
On the steam version I mean.
dude he cannot support himself on CC sales, like ever.
i don't even know why im defending him because i already said it. the dude has an actual life besides this, CC is hardly his main priority.
He's asking money for something unique.
It's up to you if you wanna pay that amount.

So B27 mods won't work on the steam version?
So B27 mods won't work on the steam version?
Some need to be updated, and some don't. Just download it and try to launch the game; if it doesn't work remove the .rte that contains the error file and keep trying until it works.
Anyone remember B18?
So B27 mods won't work on the steam version?
All the 10 of the B27 mods I've tried worked except for one. I would just give them a shot
Is there a guide to campaign mode? It seems neat but I don't know what I'm doing half the time.
Wait is Data's new project that cave game he made a post about?
I'd throw money at that happily with some of the concept stuff he had.
I dont think this game is a good buy for most people, especially now that the game is officially "finished", and released. It was from the beginning kind of a niche game, and I feel like you had to follow the development to truly enjoy it. I still remember some of those really old builds, and I can now see how incredibly much more "Finished" the game is, but for a new customer, I can see how the game feels incomplete and buggy as hell. I have learned to live with the bugs, and how the game works, because I have been playing it for years (On and off with each new build), but I cant see this gain huge mainstream popularity now, because if you see this as it is right now, it can really feel incomplete.
Is there a reason why I can only get one key when I own the game 7 times?
Wait is Data's new project that cave game he made a post about?

Wait, didn't he post about that two years ago?
Which is standard Data time, but still
downloaded a bunch of mods, only one that made the game not work was the halo one.
I also really hope the spectator mode mod gets updated, somebody posted the link to it here and it sounds awesome but it doesn't work for me either.
Also does anyone have a list of good mods for b27?
