"Not to mention the bug where bullets fly through everyone rendering having large amounts of troops on the map impossible, along with the bug where they cannot aim correctly, along with the bug where they start shooting at nothing."
Doesn't sound like a bug to me
Why can't you spawn actors with weapons I'm gonna cry

How does that not sound like a bug. Is it normal for bullets to fly through units without hurting them, and units randomly shooting at the ground or the sky even without an enemy there, and well yeah that's pretty much the third complaint.
None of those are bugs, they're features :v:
I really doubt that I would have gotten as much fun out of the game if bugs like that were gone.

Sounds about right.

How does that add any fun to the game
It just ends up ruining my fortress and just breaks combat

You're playing wrong, stop trying to win and embrace the madness of wonky physics based Halo spartans fighting space nazis while brains in jars command crash test dummies to assault soldiers form X-COM(Shameless mention of my mod, download it today!)

I bought the game from 20 dollars and that's not gonna be worth it if the game is so buggy that you have to do that.
Plus I laugh at the game, but I don't laugh at game breaking bugs

I bought it for 18$, TWICE, when it didn't even have a metagame, I've been playing since you had to dig gold, then carry it to ships, throw it in, and fly it away to make money, the days when corpses would stack endlessly, making massive piles of bodies that would stack endlessly.
Rockets wouldn't die so long as new wounds were made, they'd build up enough force from the fires bursting out they'd dig massive tranches though the world, killing everything in their path.
And it was glorious.
What's making the game unplayable for me right now is the stuttering inaccurate mouse. I can't accurately press the menu buttons with it, let alone play.

But how are the bugs that I described fun to play with at all?
It just breaks combat and nothing more. I understand why those were fun but these aren't.

Anyone else thing the crosshair sucks? It's not even a crosshair and is impossible to see most of the time. Why can't you just have a simple crosshair that locks to the curser instead of those shitty three bubbles who only go a certain number of feet away from the unit?

Well, I've never had a time my bullets went though things, My soldiers aim perfectly even with the ai controlling them, and they don't shoot at nothing, So I have no comment.
I think the bug he's describing is the one where bullets literally do not hit anything except the ground.
I've experienced it myself a few times late in the campaign, and it literally makes it so no side can actually win, the actors just seem to enter another plane of existence from the bullets.
It's like a cross-team friendly fire.
Well if you have a large amount of soldiers it does which sucks.
Sure the game wasn't completely made for large amounts of units, but it should still be fixed.

Yes what this guy said.

The Dots go out as far as you can aim with that gun, it's your sharp aim line and is actually more accurate then a crosshair, it show exactly where your gun is aiming it to the pixel.

There's an obvious reason for the limited distance.

Hm, That sounds bad, glad I've never run into it.

It should go as far as the character can see, not the optimal aim for the gun. Most of the time the enemy is too far for the crosshairs so I just have to guess where they are when staring at the enemy. Often wasting most of the clip because I guessed wrong and then dying when having to reload.
Is there a mod to remove the lock? Because I'd like to have it.
I love the crosshair, don't know why do you guys hate it so much
You have to aim, it wont just show you where will the bullet go

There is no "How far the character can see', if you haven't noticed you can see the whole level when you use the switch actors function, without the "Lock" you could use a pistol to snipe people all the way at the other side of the map.
The Lock is a setting in the guns ini, it gives them a different feel, there is a way to change it, but like I tell people in the TES though about morrowind's dice roll combat, changing this breaks the way the game was made and balanced.
Well that sucks.

You have to add a line to base.rte/Actors.ini to make it work. Add
IncludeFile = Base.rte/Actors/Clones/Clones.ini
At the very end.
Why not just make it like most sidescrollers and have the screen centered on the person you are controlling, then remove the crosshair lock? There's no reason to change a working method used in every other game.
Every single gun has a SharpAim distance specified in its .ini, if you modify them all one by one to something massive then you'll be able to see forever with them.

There must be a reason. Why else would they have done it. (And that reason is probably because that's how they wanted their game to be)

I don't see a possible reason other then trying something new, but it doesn't seem to work out that well.
Oh god the nostalgia, I love you helifreak.
Why is there no remove prop button in endless skirmish?
