Why not just make it like most sidescrollers and have the screen centered on the person you are controlling, then remove the crosshair lock? There's no reason to change a working method used in every other game.
There's no reason to change a working method
Why is there no remove prop button in endless skirmish?
I guess It's because the bunker parts and such aren't really entities, but rather just some pixels with different attributes, only way to really "remove" it is to add some other pixels there.
Though if you mean actors / weapons, then that'd be a neat feature to have.

But the current one obviously has problems

It works perfectly for me
It works perfectly for me
It's much harder to aim and it's unfair since the AI has almost perfect aim. Along with fast aiming times
You don't need to aim with a digger

If you center on your character, you cannot aim off the screen. Often Ill position it so my character is on the far left of the screen so I can see more to the right, or vice versa. Use the entire screen size, rather than half.
I always want to play skirmish but I can't build bases for shit. Plus the inability to be able to delete items doesn't exactly help either.
sounds like sporeGA has a severe case of can't-have-funitis
i dunno about you but the campaign is still to easy no matter who you play as even playing against a team of three bots.

jesus christ do you have to complain about everything
From my experience, playing CC is kinda like playing a game of Dwarf Fortress: You have a (literal) cliff learning curve (navigating a high structure is still the biggest challenge in my game), a wonky system (both the engine and the controls are wacky), and unless you play a mission or a scenario, then you don't expect to win. But when you get the idea then suddenly, fun pops out everywhere, especially when you watch the heads rolling and bloods flying after getting shot by a revolver cannon (Jeez, that gun is a beau)
Anyway, if you want to have fun in some way, then learn to code the ini and start modding some game-breaking stuff, or download the stuffs from Shook (here and here). That guy is nuts.

I was complaining about the AI I was complaining about the aiming.
Plus I've only complained about one feature and the rest were idiotic bugs that somehow the Devs didn't find.

How do you know for a fact that the devs haven't noted them?
Because they've been there since B26 as far as I can tell and I'm guessing longer.

The ai is like genius level compared to the way it was in build 13.
The ai is like genius level compared to the why it was in build 13.
What?
is this game even updated anymore?
What?
The ai in build 13 did nothing but walk to your brain, it did not stop to shoot you, it did not know how to jetpack, or dig. it would walk on the ground above your buried brain until the ground wore away under them.
The ai as it is now, is amazing compared to this.

I was talking about the bugs but okay
I think the AI is still a bit dumb, but their aiming is amazing but I'm not saying to change it.

yes and in the 11 years of developement it's only gotten slightly smarter

I didn't say that the AI was acceptable. He didn't seem to understand what Rahkshi said, so I worded it differently.
I just had the best whitebot ever. He managed to single-handedly defend my base three times by killing the enemy brain as soon as it landed.
But then the thread title happened.
RIP in Peace Whitebot #6. You were an inspiration to us all
I can't figure out how to get that tartarus mod working. I've extracted the rte folder into the cortex command folder, but I don't see the mission anywhere in the scenario list. Is it not its own activity?
