I can't figure out how to get that tartarus mod working. I've extracted the rte folder into the cortex command folder, but I don't see the mission anywhere in the scenario list. Is it not its own activity?
It should be in the scenario list
It should go as far as the character can see, not the optimal aim for the gun. Most of the time the enemy is too far for the crosshairs so I just have to guess where they are when staring at the enemy. Often wasting most of the clip because I guessed wrong and then dying when having to reload. Is there a mod to remove the lock? Because I'd like to have it.
If you want it that way, you can change it. Go into the actor's and gun's inis and change AimDistance and SharpAimDistance.
I was talking about the bugs but okay I think the AI is still a bit dumb, but their aiming is amazing but I'm not saying to change it.
Except you can aim that well too. The AI actually has worse aiming, because it doesn't aim for specific limbs. Also, you can easily flank them.
Okay I see what the problem is, it's because I'm running it through steam. If I run the game directly without steam, the mod loads. Weird. I guess something about steam prevents mods from loading.
Steam doesn't prevent mods from loading. That's for sure. Perhaps it just doesn't work with Tartarus.
You can?
How?
How?
Pretty sure Data showed it in a video a couple of days ago, you simply put your brain in a ship and send it off.
What the fuck, why did they even remove the collision and friendly fire, that was like the best damn part, for me.
Steam doesn't prevent mods from loading. That's for sure. Perhaps it just doesn't work with Tartarus.
No, it does. You put the rte in the steam version's installation folder, right?
Holy shit. I'm winning every campaign battle with crab bombs.
Pretty sure Data showed it in a video a couple of days ago, you simply put your brain in a ship and send it off.
I know you can do that, I mean you need the ability to abandon a base from the meta-game UI. If you have two teams with bunkers and no spare brains, the game can't end. It would also be nice to be able to enter a map on the campaign screen outside of battle so you can clean up, salvage stuff, reposition people from your last offencive, etc. Or in this case, bug out. Return everything in your base, including your brain, so that you can use this stuff in a last ditch effort to take that next bunker.
If its the same Shook as the one on B12, i know him. He used to make sprites for a game i was making. We arw both from the same country so thats awesome [editline]1st October 2012[/editline]
I was complaining about the AI I was complaining about the aiming. Plus I've only complained about one feature and the rest were idiotic bugs that somehow the Devs didn't find.
Just stop. Shut up, and get out of the thread. If you dont like the game or the devs, quit sperging about it and stop playing the game. They do their shit how they like it and if you dont like it, dont buy their shit.
They should add an option to return friendly fire. I loved having a couple of AI soldiers i accidently gave explosive weapons go rogue and kill my guys/brain when they tried to be heroes and kill the enemies
is this game even updated anymore?
Holy shit why do everyone ask this JUST after we release and update, every god damn time! Moore's law in action. [editline]1st October 2012[/editline]
They should add an option to return friendly fire. What does Moore's law have to do with people asking those questions?
Anything that can happen will happen. Game just got updated. Will someone really ask if it's even being updated anymore?
Anything that can happen will happen. Game just got updated. Will someone really ask if it's even being updated anymore?
I think you just confused Moore's law with some version of Murphy's law. Moore's law states that the number of transistors in integrated circuits (CPUs) will double every 18 months; Murphy's law states that everything bad that can happen probably will.
Damnit, I know I should've searched it up. It was either one or the other. Murphy's law in action I guess.
Lizzrds law: There will always be a caveman that asks wether something is dead right after its updated. There you go.
Micheal Moore and Eddie Murphy.

This is brilliant! :v:
Uhh, Dec 16 2010, that definitely isn't B27, get your shit right :v:
Sorry, that must be B26 then. :v: /jokeatdevsexpense B27's AI was... decent. They recognize when holes have been clogged by cement sprayers because its the only way to keep them out long enough to live to beat the level and will proceed to spam the fuck out of diggers to get through it. They also shot at the barricades to soften them.
I just bought this game and MAN, is it hard. I always seem to get my shit slapped no matter what in survival.
I adore the bugs in this game sometimes. They seem to make it loads more fun, for me at least.
Well fuck. I bought Cortex Command in one of the Humble Indie Bundles, and now I've lost the download page and my key won't activate it on Steam.
