Well fuck. I bought Cortex Command in one of the Humble Indie Bundles, and now I've lost the download page and my key won't activate it on Steam.
Register an account on the humble indie bundle site, any bundle you've bought with that email should then be registered and all downloads should collect into one big download page.
The download page URL? If so, you can enter your email in on the site somewhere and they send an email out with the link to all the bundles you bought with that email. [editline]1st October 2012[/editline] God dammit, afromana. Beat me to the punch.
This game could do with a sandbox mode. No brain, infinite money and a constant supply of enemy dropships to test weapons and units on.
This game could do with a sandbox mode. It doesn't work in 1.0 sadly.
This game could do with a sandbox mode. Keep placing them sideways for about 1 screenful, then place your brain bunker so that anyone trying to fly in will simply fall off the map. Infinite money: Tek troopers mod includes a gold machine that constantly adds hundreds of gold to your funds every second and was updated for 1.0: http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=13622 Constant supply of dropships: Select skirmish, then select the "endless base defense" or whatever-it's-called mode (it starts with endless) and set the difficulty to "Nuts!" for maximum enemy spawns While I agree a dedicated sandbox mode would be nice, this'll work just the same until (or if) it's added.
They need a fully supported sandbox and skirmish mod with adjustable spawn rates, dynamic spawnable unit detection based on mods, sliders to change unit spawn rate; ability to have a certain amount of gold pour in at intervals or just set it to infinite gold. Also integration of that one mod that enabled you to turn your mouse cursor into something that can freeze, explode, make invincible, lasso around, turn weapon into turret; etc. Perfect sandbox mod that can already be implemented with a bit of text file configuration; but it would be great to have all that in a bundled "sandbox mode" with sliders and whatnot.
This game could do with a sandbox mode. No brain, infinite money and a constant supply of enemy dropships to test weapons and units on.
There needs to be some kind of way to test weapons if there isn't a sandbox mode.
Uhh, Dec 16 2010, that definitely isn't B27, get your shit right :v:
Shit I meant B24, or one of those builds I forgot
I adore the bugs in this game sometimes. They seem to make it loads more fun, for me at least.
Data should fix the bugs but have a little toggle switch for when you start a new game that includes the bugs. Labeled "True Cortex Command Experience"
There needs to be some kind of way to test weapons if there isn't a sandbox mode.
Go on that zombie cave map, I think it's something like Control Chip Hunt, and type in: ActivityMan:GetActivity():SetTeamFunds(5000000,0) That'll give you loads'a money. Zombies are pretty easy too, and they just keep coming.
Data should fix the bugs but have a little toggle switch for when you start a new game that includes the bugs. Labeled "True Cortex Command Experience"
Couldn't agree more!

Without you know editing the files and restarting.
Getting the bug where you're not able to shoot anything, which is weird because I haven't gotten it on any other builds except 1.0. I think it happens when there's too much shit on a map.
So, apparently putting the game on a RAM Disk changes absolutely nothing. Would've thought having a transfer rate of 4.1GB would at least improve the initial loading. Could be scripting related I suppose.
I kinda wish there was a better way to equip your troops during build stage other than "Place a gun under their feet". Im thinking of a equipment option acessable via Pie Menu, but I dont really know if that is the best way.
Some units in Unitec start with guns. So my bro and I were doing endless skirmish earlier, right? We had the brain-sarlac pit set up, so attackers simply fell to their deaths, and we just dicked around and shot people. We had a clump of coalition lights trucking around, and bro wanted to crabomb them. He does so, they all die, but now we have a crater of crabs lagging the hell out of everything. SO... logically we decided to fix one bomb with another, and I filled a crate with frags and blue bombs. Dropped it, missed, exploded, suddenly his dude (half a map away) just disintegrates and mine gets punted 3 football fields. Then we dropped other dudes in, bro was flying around in a heavy with an ubercannon. Flies over a dropship, fires, craft explodes and the two engines fly into the sky. Taking his cannon with it. I'm cruising around with a firelance and a combat robot, dude with rocket launcher enters screen, I'm limbless and flying backwards. I fly into a gattling drone and he flips on his back. We fucking love this game, WELL worth the dollars I spent on it back in HIB2. 10/10 would pay more in future.

I'm guessing it's a scripting error because no matter how much ram you have it still does it. Is Cortex Command finally finished? I've seen it on Steam, so surely it's finished?
Well the Devs say it's finished but it's not even close.
Is Cortex Command finally finished? I've seen it on Steam, so surely it's finished?
Other than bug fixes and the campaign mode, it feels like b24 to me.
It's still a bug haven and missing a lot of needed features along with unfinished ones.
Well the Devs say it's finished but it's not even close.
No, the devs did not say it's finished, ever.
No, the devs did not say it's finished, ever.
They released it as 1.0 didn't they It's like the two of you were created to argue with me about things that don't matter at all

Fucking Datarealms.
When i heard that 1.0 was released, i was excited! but when i saw the 1.0 release and the content within? not much new content since the past years. and the metagame turn based thingy isn't for me... and the new endless skirmish etc are so ridiculously hard or easy and being kind of repetetive. but then i found a mod named Warfare on the datarealms forum... This is heaven for me! i am content. this is what i wanted cortex command to be! a fast, fun and fluid side shooter!
They released it as 1.0 didn't they It's like the two of you were created to argue with me about things that don't matter at all
1.0 does not mean final, what about patches?
1.0 does not mean final, what about patches?
You know what I mean you piece of shit When you release something as a 1.0 it should be finished, this wasn't released finished (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Craptasket))
You know what I mean you piece of shit When you release something as a 1.0 it should be finished, this wasn't released finished
Calm down And we really don't know what you mean. 1.0 is just a version Where are you getting all of these "facts" from?
Cortex command is the only game I own currently who's version number sits at 1.0
