A massive amount of games release as 1.0 As in example Minecraft. I could come up with more if I was gonna bother looking up games to this argument which has nothing to do with the game and is correct on my side. 1.0 is used in many games what is your argument here
and minecraft wasn't finished in 1.0, and it's not fucking law that 1.0 = finished product either why the fuck are you acting like you're right, you do realize a dev reads and posts in this thread and has confirmed that 1.0 is not final, right?

1.0 is the official release but it can be updated. You guys are totally missing the point here
1.0 is the official release but it can be updated. You guys are totally missing the point here
No, I think you are. You're saying that they released 1.0 as the finished product, when Lizzrd has posted confirming that it is not.
1.0 is the official release but it can be updated. You guys are totally missing the point here
You're saying that it should be finished. I guess skyrim and fallout 3 are POS games for the ps3

I get the worst pagekings
1.0 is used in many games what is your argument here
1.0 is a version number, not the FINAL version number, are you saying windows 1.0 was done and should have never updated?
1.0 is the official release version not the final version
1.0 is the official release version not the final version
Think about what this implies
1.0 is the official release version not the final version
Yes, and you are acting like they released it as the finished version? The fuck are you even on dude.
1.0 is the official release version not the final version
Okay...And? Datarealms considered the game releaseable once the metagame was implemented. That was their decision. Its not like they're going to stop doing updates now or anything.
1.0 is just a version number, you could start developing from 1.0 and consider the game finished at version 9001.24412.3, it doesn't matter
1.0 means a major milestone often signaling the release
1.0 means a major milestone often signaling the release
You're making definitions up now.
1.0 means a major milestone often signaling the release
exactly. Having the metagame as feature complete (even without polish) was a milestone for them, worthy of release.
You're making definitions up now.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_versioning Go down a bit to the 1.0 section. Usage of 1.0 as a milestone
1.0 means a major milestone often signaling the release
please stop talken and kil you'reselv. [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline] And inventors usually go through <invention> 1.0, that fails spectacularly, then they make the 2.0 version. Dyson went through about 80 versions (may be wrong) before he got the final, finished Dyson Vacuum. Stop talking out of your arse! [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline] Cortex Command being 1.0 doesn't make it the final, finished version.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_versioning Go down a bit to the 1.0 section. Usage of 1.0 as a milestone
1. Wikipedia 2. Proprietary software developers often start at version 1 for the first release of a program and increment the major version number with each rewrite. Often does not mean 100% of the time.
Often means a lot of the time though. And Cortex Command was part of that often, so it should be near or finished.
Who the hell said that Cortex Command was part of the often? Because it wasn't. It was released way before 1.0 Steam release =/= official release.
Oh my god, who gives a shit about the version number are you saying that you really think CC is finished or near finished in it's current state?
No. [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline] We think you're an idiot for endlessly bitching about it for so many pages about how unfinished it is. [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline] or at least I do
I made one post about it and then you guys derailed it into weather 1.0 is a release or not
Oh my god, who gives a shit about the version number
...
They released it as 1.0 didn't they It's like the two of you were created to argue with me about things that don't matter at all

You know what I mean you piece of shit When you release something as a 1.0 it should be finished, this wasn't released finished

A massive amount of games release as 1.0 As in example Minecraft. Do you honestly want to derail the thread even more with arguing
Do you honestly want to derail the thread even more with arguing
It takes two to tango
It takes two to tango
It also takes 5+ to do a congo line
you guys are being idiots the number '1.0' clearly implies a fully functional and playable game, and to say that the version number means nothing is simply pedantic if you buy a 1.0 game you expect a finished, working game, like you'd buy retail in a box, regardless of whether the dev promises to keep updating it... CC is a great game but it simply doesn't live up to this expectation the complaints on the game hub are quite justified and I'd be pretty annoyed too if I didn't get this for like 5 bucks with humble
