I might make some actual realistic ruskies.

i'm so anal about my offsetting i make data realms (and pretty much everyone else) look lazy. only got skills with weapon offsetting though.
So where would I start if I wanted to make a new unit? The amount of individual files + configs for units scare me.
first off you'd probably want to use an existing actor as a base. then learn about everything that makes up an actor till you have a basic idea about offsetting and such (which you may not even have to do) then use the existing actor as a template. to create your own actor replace their sprites with yours and adjust offsets accordingly. it's best to find an existing actor with proportions similar or the same as the actor you want to make. [editline]4th October 2012[/editline] also making actors is pretty difficult, especially ones that don't have normal proportions
what would you recommend using for a basic humanoid?
helmet or no helmet?
No helmet
with helmet, standard coalition clone, without helmet, standard ronin dude. [editline]4th October 2012[/editline] also remember that there are shitloads of mods out there as well, you can use content from mods as templates too.

Okay, Train Chase is a ton of fun. Bro and I were chasing the thing with dropships filled with explosives. Its surprisingly resilient.

I think they look pretty cool but they don't fit CC's style
Is there any mission that jsut lets me spawn shittons and fuck around?
I think they look pretty cool but they don't fit CC's style
Yeah, was an experiment with different character proportions. The Germans and Japanese look better but I don't have them activated right now, in the process of updating everything to 1.0.

why does my soldiers think its funny to just drop whatever weapon they were wearing whenever they feel like it? Also suffering spontaneous explosions This is also the game that makes me ragequit the fastest
i don't remember anywhere seeing that it said all games on steam were complete.
I'd say the definition of "complete" was blurred when companies started adding DLC and shit like that, hell you could even count patches, updates and fixes I dig the idea of Steam's "videogames as a service rather than a single, finished product"
Guys, just a quick question. How am I supposed to load the unit carrying the chip into a ship? I've tried all the ships and all the menu options but to no avail. [sp]I actually got this game in HIB and I haven't really played it yet.[/sp]
Get a dropship. Tell it to stay somewhere and open the cargo doors. Send in the unit carrying the chip and close the doors. Then just float up into space and receive your free victory.

I did a commonwealth cold war thing a while back... probably should update that. [editline]5th October 2012[/editline]
http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=22767
not realistic at all that's like steampunk witchcraft russians.

It its exactly WWII but in my opinion is alot better than other WWII mods out there.
I can't get Computer Brain 4200 to work :(
This same method can be used to get excess weapons and weaponless enemies into a dropship too. You get money for it!
I'd like to see an insanely resilient dropship mod so I could suck up guns and actors for free money in skirmish defense
http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=31861 A good (and some bad) bunch of modules, good if you feel like there isn't enough modules
He never asked for a realistic mod. Just a WWII mod with Ruskies. It its exactly WWII but in my opinion is alot better than other WWII mods out there.
but it isn't even WWII it doesn't even have a ppsh that works like a ppsh should.
map pack 3 is pretty awesome. Also i discovered that with grenade belts (mainky Uni-Tec ones) you can just spam click grenades into a bunker and blow the ever-living fuck out of its inhabitants due to the chain reaction
