So a droid/robotic crab thing got stuck on top of a drop crate and buried itself into this little hole it couldn't get out of, i thought nothing of it and continued fighting people elsewhere. I come back about ten minutes later, wondering where the hell all of the enemies went, and see this. [t]http://i47.tinypic.com/2nj2c9.jpg[/t] I ordered a dropship full of napalm bombs and sent it in, it got shot down right above but the bombs fell in. [t]http://i49.tinypic.com/34nllz8.jpg[/t] This happened a few more times until they all started getting dropped off in the hole so i just quit.

Its funny how your support defenses, doors and bunker layouts are what really gets the AI in skirmish. I was playing on plains 1, and had a small brain chamber with a hallway, 2 guys with miniguns and 2 dummy turrets on top of the roof. The minigun guys went down pretty fast aside from one who had the medic bot, he lasted ~4 minutes. In the end, it was the fact that my bunk was higher than the rest of the terrain and the fact that I had 2 turrets on top that let me last. I spent a good 8 minutes watching mother crabs digging massive holes in the ground while I used this one turret to mow down hundreds of ronins. It was pretty funny, although one of them had the good sense to aim up and shoot the unarmored turret, leaving only the doors. another 2 minutes later and a final 60 seconds with my last remaining turret in the brain chamber, and the AI beat me. For the first time in all of my skirmishes, the AI beat me. Then again, I tried to design the base to be really easy to attack and the AI still took like 13 minutes :v:
This is why one well placed Unitec minigun turret can defend a whole base
One properly placed shaft without any actors and/or defenses can defend against any amount of enemy units.
Funion, what's your problem?
i keep getting raped in one man army
Well, that's fucking amazing! I decided to make a basic firing range scene, where players would have unlimited money and respawning enemies to shoot at, intended for dicking around and weapon testing, but the Scene Editor is still broken. It's not the end of the world, I can still set everything up by hand but Lizzrd said that it all should be fixed already. I TRUSTED YOU MAN!
is there tutorials or something for the scene editor? I wish I knew how to use it :v:
I said make a folder called NewData inside datamodulename.rte. It should be fixed however.
You never said that and either way, it doesn't make any difference. The Scene Editor just ends up creating a Scenes.ini with a line
IncludeFile = Test.rte/Scenes/New Scene.ini
Without actually creating New Scene.ini, as it did before.
Huh. Didn't know that, thanks. File bug reporte plz http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31175
Huh. Didn't know that, thanks. File bug reporte plz http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31175
That bug was in the game since B25 or B26 (read: for at least a year), I thought that it was already known. I'll report it then.
Funion start rating funny or i report u
Funion start rating funny or i report u
youre just so gey im sorry [editline]14th June 2012[/editline] i hate when i blow out an engine and the ship rolls over the ground repeatedly toward me there is no escape
In a previous version, I had a mod that changed the brain into a random craft every time it died with endless enemies. It was recommended in a previous thread and I have since formatted. Does anyone happen to know the name of/have a copy of that mod?

I did that once, felt fucking awesome.
I hate how there's no proper documentation for CC's API. I would be grateful even for a plaintext list of all class functions and properties, but fucking no, I have to guess and search though .lua files of others to see what they managed to guess.
Actually if you time your jetpack dives correctly you can dive right under it as it flips over you. I did that once, felt fucking awesome.
the dummy dropships just flatten you
FFFFUCK! It's like writing a novel for a foreign language for which there's no dictionary.
Also my game keeps loading a .rte that does not exist in my cortex command folder.
I just bought the game and when I go fullscreen and use my mouse, it moves extremely slowly. And when I move the mouse slowly, the cursor doesn't move at all, halp? Sorry if this has already been posted, but I googled it and couldn't find a working solution. My mouse is the Razer Mamba if it matters.
This is a common bug with the update so you have to run it in windowed mode. That's the only way to deal with it until it gets a proper fix.
Okay, thank you. I'm pretty sure I've bought this game twice now, but it's a cool game so it doesn't matter.
Do any of you remember that mod where you can drop funds out of a space craft? I don't know how to get unlimited funds so I can just mess around.
Do any of you remember that mod where you can drop funds out of a space craft? I don't know how to get unlimited funds so I can just mess around.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Data Realms\Cortex Command\Base.rte\Devices\Diggers\Diggers.ini ctrl+f "gold" Change the value of something to like -10000 Then buy a few of that item in-game to get money
ActivityMan:GetActivity():SetTeamFunds(money,0) 0 represents the team number, so don't change that.
