What school? Digipen?
No, it's a school primarily for engineering. We just have a pretty beefy department.
Since B27 iirc.
Ah right. I only play with a gamepad when I'm playing with friends, which has been a while since I gave my best friend a copy. Now we mostly play it at school, to fuck around with the coding and look busy in IT classes.
i swear this planet (does it have a name?) must have more burning chunks of iron and steel in it's ground than dirt
getting sent to the surface in those mk2 dropships is pretty much akin to putting a gun to your head and seeing how many times you can pull the trigger.
That's why you use MK2 dropships to attack and rockets to drop stuff.

If its a hotdrop, yeah those dropships are suicide.
Honestly for hotdrops, use crates or rockets or something faster.
That way, with crates, you can aim FOR the enemy. :v:
And if you can drop your dudes fast enough, rockets become fantastic AOE weapons.
if it's a hot drop I send in an attack dropship first >:3
I just open the bay doors as soon as the first round hits the engine.
AKA NOPENOPENOPENOPE *drops entire army from orbit*

-order cheap dropship loaded with napam and anti-personel mines
-keep it hovering near top edge of screen
-start moving left
-picking up speed.
-picking up speed..
-picking up speed...
-dropship is now looping round the map twice every second...
-enemy dropship slowly decends from orbit into it's path.
best way to clear the battlefield. no hiding place, flaming shards of metal traveling at hypersonic speeds into some poor grunts' face.

more like flying rockets upside down amirite
more like flying rockets upside down amirite
there arn't any drop-rockets,
Just manned missiles.
rockets are ICBMs, it's way cheaper and safer to just drop one or two guys at a time with crates
listening to this

on parachutes
imagine thousands of robots all falling from the sky when 3:25 happens

Real men hit dropships with dropcrates FULL OF CRABS

honestly i don't see how any big university wouldn't have their own collection of gaming controllers for one reason or another.
the fucking army uses an xbox 360 controller to control some unmanned vehicles.
i swear this planet (does it have a name?)
I think the planet is named Midas.
Or is that the Tradestar?

That's the satellite.
What if somebody kept a Cortex Command game running for 10 years? Just like the "Endless War" from Civ 2. Could it be possible?

there would be no more terrain
Crabnukes are the only way to go. Stuff a rocket with as many crabs you can, and scuttle it above the enemy. Crab shrapnel raining everywhere.
the map would either be a solid block of debri, maybe preventing anymore spawning, or just no terrain as dill said

as well as every living and nonliving object across most of the map exploding instantly

As well as the horrendous lag. Like, the kind of lag never encountered by man. And hopefully never will.
there would be no more terrain
or the terrain would be only debris
Setting it to AI vs AI could work. In the end you'd probably end up with sentient AI sitting around just thinking where their leaders went.

Calling down dropships with nothing in them to scuttle them across the last remaining bit of dirt to make terrain, and then filling the map with it, and then digging into it and creating a community revolving around the trade of crabs and gold.

I had a napalm explode right in someone's face, and the flames proceeded to fuck up his buddies which were partially inside my base :v:

I always used rockets before because I didn't know dropships could do it too.

Some people(including me) call the planet Midas, under the assumption that the tradestars are named after the planet they orbit or something.

i'll go with that.
seems sensible.
It's not named midas.
[editline]11th October 2012[/editline]
Currently it's unnamed.
Name it midas.
