Being slow as fuck as usual, I logged in, checked out the second SMG. Looked at it. Logged out. Badassification check, they said. We're looking into altering the looks of guns, they said. I am fucking surprised that pump shotguns don't look exactly like sniper rifles. Seriously, everything can get me to log out of this game. Everything about it just seems uggghhh for me. Wish I chose Miller as my server back then.
The TR PA looks nearly identical to a Trac-5 carbine.
Squad leaders that ignore their own squads get on my tits. He tells us all to spawn on the beacon he dropped; I say that I can't since I have that bug where it says around 6 days to respawn there, and that I'll grab a flash from the next base over and head there. 30 seconds later I get kicked along with some people who weren't even on the same continent. :|
Has anyone else been getting near unplayable lag and delay since the server-merge patch?
somewhat. I ran into a shielded bio lab base, look how far I got before a HEAT round from the outside actually damaged me. (I'm the heavy)
The TR PA looks nearly identical to a Trac-5 carbine.
Well, it actually has pump. That means SOE modellers and animators worked on it at least.
Has anyone else been getting near unplayable lag and delay since the server-merge patch? Almost every 1v1 kill I get is a mutual kill. Once his corpse hits the floor and I turn to walk away his gun is still shooting and we both die. Same with sneaking up on people and unloading into their face and having them kill me and reportedly have taken no damage. Server is Connery.
Happens so often I've come to expect it, especially when facing the NC. Stopped playing for a while because of that bullshit. I know you have to take into account what the lagging party is doing so that they don't feel like the got the short end of the stick, but that doesn't stop that feeling of being jilted every single time it happens. [editline]9th March 2013[/editline]
Well, it actually has pump. I really want to know what happened to that neat looking shotgun model they had for the TR Nighthawk. I hope it gets stealthed into GU04, and that they make it a mid ranged gun, would work well with my suggestion.
Any NC outfits on waterson? Playing by yourself in this game sucks.
The pump actions probably don't count for the "new weapons will look new" thing because their models have been in the game since mid-beta.
The pump actions probably don't count for the "new weapons will look new" thing because their models have been in the game since mid-beta.
I don't know about that though. The 'other' pump action shotgun that temporarily replaced the TR nighthawk was a completely new model.
Anyone got some tips for someone new to the game. Last night I had a lot of fun rolling around in a big convoy, but then I spent the next 45 minutes wandering around by myself until I got killed and respawned somewhere else.

Though if you enjoy the walking, more power to you.

Spawn in the warpgate and get on a Galaxy or Sunderer. You can see on the map where there are fights, It's shown as small flashing lights. If you cant find transport to some fight, Get a quadbike and try to get there yourself. Good way to see the map too. What server btw ?

For example, a Light Assault won't be helping a battle if you're firing a couple hundred metres from the enemy. Also, join an outfit. They're often organised and can get you in big fun fights. [editline]10th March 2013[/editline] Does anyone else have a pretty big bug where sometimes the game can crash an entire computer on long after spawning into the game?

I get crashes that happen willy nilly, so it could have just been a coincidence.
I'm trying to decide which class I really want to focus my efforts on. I really like support and the ability to just throw on the extra shield and spray, but I feel like being an engineer or a medic would be more useful to the team, especially with the engineer turrets and whatnot. What's everyone elses favorite class?
Tried leaving through a snowed in exit, lead to unexpected results.

Your weapon is decent, and you can help vehicles and MAXs heal. Finally, shoveling rockets onto your HAs and AA friends will help the entire team. Then, LA. You can break most defenses by hopping directly to a point, and your C4 with jetpacks also lets you kill every vehicle slightly more open areas. If you're NC, the MAX is fun because you can eviscerate everything in buildings. Your overall utility is pretty low unless you can re-outfit easily. You also really need double of whatever gun you want to use to be most useful. Medic shines most when not close to respawn zones, so if you stick with squads the medic may be a good choice. And don't forget, you can play classes on different accounts. If you feel like making a super medic, pick a side and stick with it for that side. I'd recommend going engineer for NC if you do this route.

Medic and engineer are fantastic ways to get certs fairly quickly as your services will always be in demand. Reccomend going with one of those two if you aren't that great at aiming or FPS shooters in general, as they will still allow you to still contribute, and be pretty well rewarded for your efforts.

And if you invest in a booster while playing as a Medic, you'll get about as much XP from rezzing as you would from killing an enemy without having a booster.
Is the store not showing a daily sale for everyone else?
It's been like that for two days.

What's everyone elses favorite class?
Medic is easily the best all around "combat" class IMO. HA is good too but I honestly prefer the carbines and such medics get over the LMG's heavys get. The fact that you can heal and revive makes you a shit ton of certs too, even if you don't want to focus on being a medic. They also get all the best explosive unlocks except for mines (C4? really?) You are pretty much guarunteed to be a killing machine as well as rolling in the certs from heals/revives, especially if you do it in a squad. Engineer is the same way, so you can't go wrong there either, but the medic does "all around" combat better IMO (aka they are more flexible in their combat roles plus can heal). I personally play infil though because I love the playstyle. The only problem with infil though is you pretty much guarentee to make half as many certs as medics simply because your support roles get you zero XP or very little XP. Also there is very little that is worth getting for infils other than SMG (for close range), bolt action, or a semi auto scout rifle. Everything else (other than AP mines) are basically worthless. It's a sadly very neglected class in the overall design of the game compaired to how useful and good infils could be in PS1.
It's been like that for two days.
Guess they don't want our smedbux then.
It's been like that for two days.
I wonder if SOE fired them or some shit to get the next batch of interns in.
Is it just me or do Reavers handle like fucking bricks all of the sudden? [editline]11th March 2013[/editline] More so that is.

I predict a shit ton of drive-by phoenixings.

A Flare with no rail attachment? Whyyyyyyyyy Oh and the Lancer looks completely fucking terrible, great. High projectile velocity my ass.

Especially since she said it'll have a laser effect or whatever but it just had the regular plasma rocket thingies in the clip they showed.
Of course it's not finished, by why ruin a perfectly good opportunity to panic?
