Can't they just blow the C4 after they respawn? I had some occasions where I died after placing a block of C4 and still managed to trigger it after respawning. I know this because I killed some MAX unit with it.
Anyone else having this problem where PS2 just crashes your computer after spawning into the world?
It's been happening a lot recently and it's annoying as hell.

Here's what you have to do, take up flying, buy some rookit pods, and just do as much damage as you can for as long as possible. Always end up with a bunch of infantry resources after a good run.
Anyone ever run into this bug before? I was following this guy for a while but only remembered you could video capture at the end, still got this though, I couldn't stop laughing.

Yeah, this happens all the time. I don't think there has been a single time when I've logged on and [I]not[/I] seen it happen at least once.
so, with new details coming in about the empire specific rocket launchers, it seems they were so worried about people abusing them in some way that they made sure they were all worse than already existing av weapons.

-phoenix does dumbfire-esque dmg, detonates after 300m
-Striker has lowest ttk, but individual rockets do ~480 dmg. Reload speed is fast.
- aircraft have lancer specific resistance cause it apparently hits air easily. dmg seems to be 400/1000/2000 depending on charge level. clip of 6, so you can do 2 full charges per clip. full charge takes 4 seconds.
I'm not sure I understand. That all seems both decent and reasonable to me.
So how is the Skep better than Striker?
After upgrading my GPU my performance got worse wtf.

the only way lock-ons are good is when you get a bunch of ppl together and just shoot a bunch of high damage immediately to prevent the vehicle from repairing back to full.

Not sure how this makes the Skep better, given that the Skep is also a lockon launcher with a higher TTK than the Striker.

let me put it to you this way:
a squad with skeps is like a bolt action rifle, utilizing a singular strong collective attack.
a squad with strikers is like a scout rifle, they have to continuously attack.

But a squad with strikers kills faster. I get what you're saying, that a striker user needs to be exposed longer to put out maximum damage, but that's made up for by the fact that it just does more damage. That doesn't really make one objectively better than the other, they're both more effective in certain situations than the other.

I went looking through the older threads trying to find a V1 (I couldn't), but I rewatched some of the earlier beta videos along the way. It's crazy how much better the game used to run.

It isn't. Going entirely off what the developer said:
-The NC get a lockon launcher that you cannot take cover while using, has a short travel distance and turning radius cap, and which can be intercepted.
-The VS get a slow-firing 160 to 800 damage sniper rifle with a damage penalty to aircraft and the inability to actually control when shots are fired.
-The TR get a rapid fire rocket hose with the best TTK in the game and the ability to lock to any vehicle or dumbfire.
If released as described this is another slap in the face to the majority of PS2 players and yet more of this "Terrans get the good shit, everyone else gets gimmicks" bullshit currently ruining the game.

I don't think the Striker will be OP, since the user will need to keep the crosshair on the target after firing or the missiles will lose their lock. If the target breaks LOS or pops flares/smoke, that's 5 rockets down the drain. Lancer and Pheonix give no lockon warning.

That's right, he suggested that people should be penalised for joining outfits and should have to pay SC to join them.

"Doesn't give a lockon warning" has no validity here. The Phoenix will require you stand out in the open where someone can paste you and your gunner can negate the rocket, and the Lancer is guaranteed to not kill anything before you can identify where the particle effect originated and reposition. The Striker is going to share the lockon launchers' vulnerability to smoke, be less affected by it due to having its damage diffused over multiple shots, and kill faster.
That is, by definition, overpowered. They're either failing to convey something important or this is going to be a very shitty week for anyone who isn't a Terran.
