I wish you could get the vehicle destruction debris and effects without enabling PhysX. PhysX seems to be so broken and wonky in this that there's no point in using it, but those twisted chunks of burnt metal that fly out of destroyed stuff with it on make the battlefield look fucking awesome.

Skip to 1:30 to avoid horrible rap. Pheonix has a pretty decent turning circle, and Lancer needs to do slightly more damage for the amount of time it takes to charge.

Lancer does seem do do low damage but considering it can be hipfired, you can't really dodge it and it doesn't have a lock on I think it'll be pretty balanced
Enough to be really good at a support role solo with one (but not doing as much hard target damage as a dedicated launcher) but in groups it'll probably rape
I went and browsed around the official PS2 forums for a bit again earlier for some reason, it was horrible. Seriously, don't go there if you can avoid it.

Just read on the patcher that the servers are coming down at 2:00 AM PT (10:00 AM CET) for the Game Update 5
I'm afraid of a Crown full of the VS rocket launcher.

Higby said it wouldn't be until Monday, unless he was only talking about the launchers.
I'm afraid of a Crown full of the VS rocket launcher.
Why? It's going to be less effective against infantry than a regular launcher and Crown assaults are mostly made of infantry.

Unless they forgot to include the date, take a look at this:

A primary for your favorite class.
Go on the VR training area and try everything. It's there for a reason, and that is so you don't end up buying something shit and wasting 40 hours of gameplay. You might even prefer to upgrade a lot of class certs if you're not heavily invested into anything yet.
If you haven't done it yet, go to VR, equip your factions "Highly configurable/versatile" weapon that has a shitton of attachments as an engy, and stick a smoke grenade launcher on it. Now drop an ammo pack and start firing smoke
It makes me really surprised that I never see smoke in game after doing that a few times.
The infantry assaults on The Crown won't change, true. But the entire visible land AND air around it will be death-fields. Imagine if The Crown had an AV turret for every person there, and those AV turrets hit airplanes too. The few bases surrounding The Crown are already pretty well covered by lock-ons and turrets on that massive hilltop.
It's too early to call anything definitively, but I'm still scared of the thought.

Ready for the kicker? Give yourself an IR scope. You can feel all super pro as you jetpack into a room full of blind people and shoot at them. Unless they have a scope too. Then you feel silly.
[editline]21st March 2013[/editline]
A single engineer with infinite smoke can effectively kill every NC MAX guarding biolab doors.
Also smoke grenades have more damaging projectiles than a bolt-action. In a crowded biolab, this is really funny.

Ah, didn't think about an IR scope. That kind of ruins some of fun of it, considering half the population of the game uses that damn thing.
Patch notes. Smallest numbered update so far?

I wonder if they include cosmetics like composite armor...
[editline]21st March 2013[/editline]
Also, they said they would find a way to make up for double depot purchases of the same item to different characters.
Oh dear... Buying a Kobalt (or any common pool weapon) for your Vanguard doesn't give you a Kobalt for your Prowler or Magrider because "They're different weapons." I was perfectly fine with not unlocking equivalent weapons on other factions since they are different weapons, but a Kobalt on a Vannie, Prowler or Magrider are all exactly the fucking same.
The lasher.
:v:
The lasher is actually considered the most effective of the the Empire specific heavy weapons.
It's amazingly good as a fire support weapon, or if you have a height advantage. It also deal a beastly amount of direct fire damage and as it's splash damage counts as explosive, it makes utter Mincemeat of max's.

Ugh... the new helms.

Well I guess it's better than skull and hockey masks, and at least they're faction specific.

Wait, what happened to the cool ones they've been hyping up?
Broome said they wouldn't be out for at least another month. He's doing a few different variations of each one, and the first NC one hasn't even been finished yet.

Wow those look pretty bad. I'm assuming those are for infiltrators? Also, LOL at the NC one, I saw your tweet to T-Ray about your helmet idea where he said that your idea looked too much like Space Knight.
But if yours looked like space knight, they must have hired out the comic book artist to design a practical replica:
Also, I'm not seeing much of a change at all to the 'Protos' helmet over the default VS one.
