Oh lord the camera doesn't even work on the Pheonix.

Those APEX Turbulence effects look amazing, especially on the teleporter and antigrav lifts.
Wrecking Your FPS: The Physics Engine.
But really, that's beautiful.

Working as intended.
There needs to be something like a skyguard on a tank chassis.
You just can't do anything if there's a swarm of libs or ESFs, lightnings get murdered too quickly.
Any TR out there that can recommend a good medic weapon to me? I like the NS-11A or the Hailstorm but if someone has better knowledge on the subject I would be much obliged.
Why do people ask this when VR training exists now? Try every weapon and use what feels comfortable.
Well you're not trying to pull a blue plate special, so I don't see how not having moving targets is a big deal when you're only testing rifles, LMG's, or carbines. Just use what weapon feels more controllable, and in result, it will be easier to lead moving targets. Though they really need moving targets for sniping as I find it incredibly difficult to land headshots on anything that's not completely still.

It has almost no affect on FPS for most people.
It's likely because due to the engine, the PhysX is using an unused part of the GPU somehow.
Oh wow, weapon camo on the phoenix also applies to the rocket you load, that's halarious.

"Are you SURE camouflage on a missile will work?"
"DUDE, I played metal Gear solid! With a Camo Index of 70 there is no WAY they are gonna see these missiles coming!"
Holy shit the new VS Lancer is horrible. I would go as far as to say it's contender for new worst weapon in the entire game.
A fully charged rocket doesn't even take off HALF of a ESF"s health. (For comparison, a standard dumbfire will usually 1-hit kill). Rear sunderer shots barely even scratch the paint, same with rear MBT shots.
There is a Bug wereby for whatever reason you go through the motions of the full 3 second chargeup but it only does the damage, and consumes the ammo of, one uncharged shot.
It's happens from time to time for reasons know only to the mysts of higby's hear.

Well the ESF shots appear to be working as intended. It isn't supposed to do that much damage to an ESF.

Yeah, they said that ESFs are a bit more resistant to it because it would be easy to snipe them out of the sky all the time.

Dude if they did anymore it would be stupid OP
They have near instant travel time and can be hipfired, and have no lock on warning or anything
3-4 people with lancers would completely annhiliate anything. One person would not, but still do a lot of good, easy support damage
It's basically scout rifle except causes explosions

Sounds just like a less spammy version of the Lancer in PS1.
A group of those were deadly.

I'm thinking about redownloading the game. I played it for 2 weeks at launch, thought it was a brilliant but flawed so I thought I'd give it more dev time.
Worth it yet?
Been playing around with the Phoenix. So far it's disappointing. Long reload time, meh damage, and the control you have over the missile is very limited. A sunderer that is driving away from you at full speed can turn faster than you can turn the missile once you enter close range. Shooting over cover is only an option at long range. At short range you will not be able to turn the missile. And forget hitting ESFs with this thing. You can't even manually detonate it if you miss, you have to push your enter/exit vehicle button (e is default) and the rocket will just drift off on its own, probably accomplishing nothing.
I suspect the Striker is going to be the best of the three
Well for what its worth, here's a compilation video of the outfit I play with :v:

I love PlanetSide 2, but sometimes I feel it's just not worth the effort when it does dumb things...

I see the heat from the nuclear explosion has warped your barrel, you should get that checked out before somebody gets hurt.
The Phoenix is pretty good for destroying turrets and MAX units, but sometimes the rockets seem to hit vehicles and simply do no damage.
I was on Esamir, and there was a small hill in the middle of the road near an amp station with 3 Phoenix wielding Heavies and an Engineer on top destroying anything that came close. It was kind of fun to watch the rockets just flying over the hill and strait to vehicles from a distance.
The Striker is fun as hell to use.
I tried out the phoenix and I actually kinda like it. I love being able to hit tanks taking cover behind small hills while being on top of walls or towers. It still needs a buff to range and perhaps a small buff to turning speed too.

I'm not gonna buy it though, I want to save my certs and SC and you never know what SOE will do with it.
It would be a hell of a time with the TR if us Vanu ever got red armor camo.

I'd wait until the hex flow changes. There's a bunch of stuff added and changed since launch, but gameplay is still very much the same. Go here, take base, move to next base, base you just captured gets backcapped, go back, recap, rinse and repeat.

Adjusted slightly for comedic and "This happens to things I'm riding in way too damn much" purposes.

Hmm, I see a similar cycle every time they put up a GU: "Get people excited for update, go over the deadline by several days (or weeks), BREAK THE FUCK OUT OF EVERYTHING (most notably people's framereates), release several hotfixes over the next two weeks that don't entirely fix the issue"
That actually reminds me, according to the Roadmap, useless as it is now as any indicator as to when things either begin to be worked on, or are finished, but do you guys think they started on the ragdoll physics yet?

They've taken ragdoll physics off the roadmap entirely actually. I think it's safe to say that it isn't coming at all now. Personally I'm glad, all I can see it doing is causing more problems.
Considering how many people can be in dying an area at any given time, ragdoll physics would be hell
It's not really necessary. Of all the things I want working, ragdolls aren't really high on my list.
Had a little game, felt like some extra polish had gone into the game with the UI improvements and stuff.
Steady 50fps in nearly all situations.
