Have they said anything about whether cosmetics will be cross-faction when account wide purchases comes into effect? I assume camo will be, since that's exactly the same for all factions, but what about helmets and armor? They're labelled the same across factions but since they obviously look different I'm concerned that SOE will be dicks and say "nah they count as different items".

I know, but the models extracted from the game files are also high poly. The only low(er) poly models I saw were automatically generated.

They better, I would love to have composite armor/helmet for the other two factions as well without having to buy them 3 times for all factions.
While I completely understand why they're not going to be giving the other faction's equivalent to a weapon you have on a faction, I think that what SOE fails to realise is that by not doing that they're not going to be encouraging more people to buy, they're especially not going to encourage more people to buy [I]more things[/I] across [I]multiple factions[/I]. If anything I think that having it so that buying a weapon unlocks the "equivalent" on the other factions, which is evidently what the community wants, they would probably encourage a lot more people to buy with SC on a "more bang for your buck" type basis alone.

I've always wanted to play an MMO FPS because of the ridiculous kill counts I could get, I can get 100+ with 16 guys to shoot in other games in an MMO I could get like 1000
or maybe I'd just get zerg rushed and die

Played an hour of this earlier as TR.
Pegged everything to lowest settings and even put the render at 50 percent.
It was fun but the choppiness of it still just always ruins it. I absolutely love big scale games like this but its just that there is always something wrong that would keep me from committing.
It was a fun session though, TR went back and forth with Vanu for the Crown only to get pushed back to the watchtower.

So I'm playing on Indar, and I see a pretty big outfit hopping into random galaxies at the warpgate, as it turns out I see someone whom I already know from Steam. I ask him if I can tag along and he says yes so they make one of their Galaxies public for me and my squad. We took off with at least 5 other Galaxies and about 10 Mosquitoes escorting us. As the Galaxy gets over The Crown, this song hits right around the 3:15 mark. At the 3:30 mark, we start taking heavy AA fire from a group of Vanu Maxes. Our Galaxy gets shot down but not before most of us make it out alive as LA's. We all managed to find and regroup with the rest of the outfit and later captured The Crown. It's moments like these that make me absolutely love this game.

Isn't that like... lattice system? Oh my god if they implement it, we're going to end up in a diffirent game, in a good way.
So I found my groove with the dalton, and after applying that groove I managed to kill 4 mosquitos with one shot. I don't think I'll ever be able to do that again.
Man, this game had enough of a problem with instakill bullshit in the form of sniper rifles and scatmaxes, we did not fucking need pump actions. I am all for a marginally more powerful shotgun but five meter bodyshot instakilling is broken as fuck.
The basic concept is fine- half second pump, instakill if you get the drop on somebody up close, they have time to react if not- but the fact that it's [I]so[/I] much damage ruins it. Automatic shotguns are still more useful indoors, but the fact that the pumps are literal 1430 damage bursts means any group of dudes spamming them just wins. There is already way more camping and way more bunnyhopping because of the damn things.

I still managed to kill two pump-action NCs with my SMG as a combat medic :dance:

I'm certain that 90% of the time they never even render. I can stand scanning a room for the bastards and think it's all clear, but as soon as I take the first step in I get my legs exploded into my skull out of thin air.
