Makes sense, no sane military power would release such a dogfighting force to capture blimps anyway.
I dislike when I join a server and everything is exploding.
I still liked 2142's unlock system the best. It may have not had a ton of weapons, but I loved choosing a path down a tree, Diablo 2 style, to fill the role you wanted to. It was more then just "OOOH NEW GUN SHINY!"
It'd be nice to not have to go through 45 ranks full of utter shit unlocks to get the AS VAL, the only rank unlock I care about. Then again it'd also be better to not have an unlock system. EDIT: speaking of the above picture the best feature BF4 could add would be bullets going through guardrails and poles
Playing Armored Kill for the first time. Wow these maps are awful.
Playing Armored Kill for the first time. Wow these maps are awful.
I don't get why everyone has a hardon for big ass maps. It'd be ok if jeeps and tanks were abundant but there's not many outside of deployment in beef3's maps, and half the time some piece of shit drives off with no passengers.
YES! I can finally sleep!
How'd you make your battlelog look like that? I already have bblog installed, but like what settings.
Playing Armored Kill for the first time. Wow these maps are awful.
If you think bandar desert awful you're not in a tank destroyer or chopper what the fuck are you doing not in a tank destroyer or chopper on bandar desert
Recon
How'd you make your battlelog look like that? I already have bblog installed, but like what settings.
Click the BBlog button and the theme switcher is under the first column called general improvements. That specific one he's using is the Steam theme.
When I see that when you try to eject and the message pops up saying it has malfunctioned, I just have to ask myself, who the hell releases a whole big batch of jets with faulty ejection seats?
Guess why the F35 is turning out to be so costly :U
So I had an interesting experience last night. First, I found a server that hosted all expansions, but Origin told me I didn't have Armored Kill installed, which the current map was from. So I went to check out the game in the Origin client, which funny enough it showed me that I didn't have Endgame installed (but it showed that I did have Armored Kill installed). So whatevs, I joined an Endgame team deathmatch server. Played through every class, but mainly engineer. I kill this one medic, take his rifle and all of a sudden I have chestpaddles and a healthbox as well. I don't remember if that's what actually happens when you take someone else's weapon, it's not something I do all that often (hands off my M4A1). Apparently a bunch of other players in the immediate area were medics as well, so we kept reviving each other, it took me about five revives before I could fully respawn as a medic, anyway lol.
You don't pick up weapons per say, you pick up kits. Which is kind of weird but it works I guess.

It's harder to do in urban maps cause there's actually cover and a chance of return fire.
Because then they can snipe with impunity. It's harder to do in urban maps cause there's actually cover and a chance of return fire.
Return fire is little more than inconvenience for a recon, a single missed rifle shot will instantly fuck the target's spread and recoil.
Return fire is little more than inconvenience for a recon, a single missed rifle shot will instantly fuck the target's spread and recoil.
Same to the sniper. Spam some shot in his direction and his sniper rifle will be pretty much useless.
Pah-Pah-Pah-Pah... Pah-Pah-POWAH!
what?
Same to the sniper. Spam some shot in his direction and his sniper rifle will be pretty much useless.
The screen rattle from my M16A4 hitting has the same effect. Then the guy shoots and my aim flies off him from the unexpected recoil increase, then we're both suppressed. It's a bad feature that makes long range combat incredibly boring because people have to keep running behind cover to reset their suppression.
what?
Pistols are immune to suppression.
Pistols are immune to suppression.
Then it's a shame pistols are hopelessly inaccurate at range.
Playing Armored Kill for the first time. Wow these maps are awful.
If you don't want to use vehicles don't bother with Armored Kill. There is a reason why it's practically dead and that's because infantry gameplay doesn't really exist for the most part.
So, I knifed some people with Dxtory running. Here's what I got. Kharg is incredibly dull as infantry with the lack of jeeps and large distance between points.
A few karkand maps suffer from that too. Kharg is incredibly dull as infantry with the lack of jeeps and large distance between points.
Caspian, Kharg, and most of Firestorm are about the right size for Battlefield 3 gameplay. They have plenty of vehicle room but infantry fights are easily accessible as well. Caspian in particular is incredibly popular because it feels like a Battlefield map but the fighting is condensed enough so that infantry can quickly move from point to point. Kharg is more about vehicles and Firestorm is a mix. B2K is a good mix for the most part except Wake, which is more Armored Kill than most of the Armored Kill maps. I've never liked Wake in any of it's versions. Armored Kill maps are entirely vehicle combat and trying to play as infantry is ridiculously hard at worse and tedious at best. Running across a desert to grab a control point and seeing two helicopters and a pair of tanks roll up will instantly kill any desire you have to play more Battlefield.

Firestorm is half-great but there's no way for infantry to get to one half of the map without dying. Kharg just bores me.
Then it's a shame pistols are hopelessly inaccurate at range.
If you're speaking of G18 then yes. The rest are pretty accurate, .44 is more like a pocket rifle.
If you're speaking of G18 then yes. The rest are pretty accurate, .44 is more like a pocket rifle.
.44 is a revolver and affected by suppression iirc. It still has the base spread of an SMG and no heavy barrel. The M1911's base accuracy is like 0.5 or some shit, it's as inaccurate as the least accurate SMGs.

Because of the 0 spread when not moving. Hahahahahahahahahaha
