If I can somehow get GW1 again, I have an account but nobody to play with. I'd be down for going through Prophecies. (HINT: I SUCK AT GW1)

I'd want to go through prophecies!
hipsterwars1 thread v. necrobumping before risen were mainstream
I never got past Maguuma Jungle since there was never anyone around that late in the life of GW1. Everyone was doing runs to Droknar's Forge or dicking about in LA.
[QUOTE=Winner;39794259]Whaaaaat? I don't care about the other campaigns, but Prophecies was excellent
We're doing that together whether you like it or not

Prophecies was the best shit. Going through the shiverpeaks actually felt like an adventure.
This bookah literally came up to me and called me ugly. Then every near-by asura started ganging up on him.

Dear lord, loading Lion's Arch took 2 minutes...
I was too greif stricken by Rurik's death.
Finally finished all my Nika's armor set. Changed realm to a nice competitive WvWvW environment and at 498 badges of honor. I love you gw<3

HotW legs/Vigil boots. I would have said vigil legs but it doesn't look right having trim go underneath the boots.

If you're talking about the gold-trimmed black portion underneath the skirt, that's all lower it goes. You can kind of see it in Vigil legs/HotW boots, but I took my boots off so you can see better.

I went to Jade Quarry. They're one of the top ones, I didn't want to join the 'best' because stomping people without any resistance is boring as shit.
The battle between JQ and Blackgate is really fun though! My friend let me on his account (no characters) so I got to test some realms before hand. I tried Blackgate first and it just seemed like people 'followed the commander in a big zerg without any conversation'. First day on JQ has been amazingly fun, the commanders really know their shit, dropping certain blueprints and coming up with plans/strategies.
But as I said the JQ/Blackgate fight right now is pretty awesome!
There isn't much map chatter because the entirety (or most of) blackgate is in the same teamspeak server coordinating between the guilds across the realms.

Didn't seem like it needed much planning considering the constant one group zerg that was going on, haha.
After playing there for two days, it got pretty stale. JQ was just way more appealing to me, they nicely split themselves and ensure the whole server knows the different plans. If you have to be in teamspeak with a bunch of people just to know what your next move is, then I'll pass on that thanks
Can someone help me, I'm new to playing the game and all the quest area's I'm up to seem really difficult for my character? I've finished all the quests prior in the Nord zone but the enemies seem really difficult?

Go to different races starter zones :) Head from the portals in LA to the homelands and go from there. The human/asura zones were pretty fun and easy

Once you're struggling in a zone, move to another. The rewards in lower level zones match those in higher ones, so you can effectively level to 80 using all the lower and mid tier zones.
I find the most effective method of leveling is map completion; stay in a zone until you've completed it or are too low level to complete it, then move to another and return to complete it later.

Yeah, I belong to a wvw guild and its got to the point that I barely care to get on team speak. I just follow the zerg around until my daily is done and leave.
Huge post incoming-
So I found about this staff condition damage build for Ele (it's for PVE, btw) that I'm trying out, it's quite fun so far. I'll share it so maybe you guys can tell me your opinions.
Traits:
10 Fire for 3 more seconds of burn on Signet of Fire
10 Air for 20% faster cooldown on Glyph of Storms and Glyph of Elementals
30 Earth for 20% shorter cooldowns on Signet of Fire and Earth skills plus 20% longer bleeds
20 Arcane for that one trait that grants buffs on change of element and, more importantly, larger staff aoe
How to use:
"Spam" Eruption to stack tons of bleeds, use Glyph of Storms for even more when necessary (when it's off its awful cooldown that is), use Signet of Fire when possible so the target is always burning. You don't get Healing Power from Water so your support abillities aren't too great, BUT you still give boons when swapping elements and create tons of predictable blast finishers from Eruption, which means your party can throw their combo fields on them.
Gear:
Condition damage, conditon duration, vitality/toughness (it's best to have these two as even as possible) and some power if you want.
My opinion so far:
My Ele is only level 53, so I do not have all the traits. I got most of the essentials minus the bigger staff radius, though, so I have an idea how it plays, mostly. Of course, I can't say how well it works in high level areas, but at my current level it kills stuff pretty fast. Usual, single enemies usually die/are dying before reaching me, groups are mostly easy as well cause Eruption covers a big area even without the trait from Arcane. Earth 3 and huge range of the staff usually let you deal with the archers without much trouble, too. It's very easy to kite as you don't need to be facing the enemy to use Eruption, and toughness and vitality from armour make me not completely squishy, which is great. On the other hand, though, I am absolutely not convinced about investing trait points into Air. The precision and crit damage is wasted as it is not used in the build and the Glyph of Storms has a really long cooldown even with the trait (48 seconds), I don't even think it's very good. I personally use Elementals as a panic emergency button, so no need for shorter cooldown either. In result, I'm considering switching the 10 points from Air to Fire and choosing the trait that gives you fire shield when using Signet of Fire.
In general, I'm liking it so far, my only fear is that it may not work so well later on. If you read all this nonsense, I love you.
