I use a nice mixture of earthy leathers and forest green fabrics.
ingame pricecheck please, I need the current sale price and buy offer in TP for this- [t]http://i.imgur.com/m8h7cxv.png[/t]
[t]http://puu.sh/2dgxd[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/2dgxS[/t]
neat at first I was amazed, seeing "33 silver cost to make" with that profit, but then 'shards of zhaitan' popped up in the recipe and it struck me, haha.
It's also nearly impossible to find the recipe.
It's also nearly impossible to find the recipe.
is it up on the TP? I'd bet it's pretty high if someone noticed it and boosted for sake of how much you should earn out of the recipe
is it up on the TP? I'd bet it's pretty high if someone noticed it and boosted for sake of how much you should earn out of the recipe
I believe the recipe is soulbound on acquire - I've never heard of it being on TP. It's a random drop from arah chests, but is extremely low drop rate.
my only worry is falling into 'mary sue' color scheme territory, IE lots of black with red all over. It's a great color scheme but a moderate number of people out there scoff about it because of how common of a choice it is. Even I've found myself looking at certain people with a really bland solid scheme like that and thought to myself "there goes one now", even as I run around on Aureli with iron/spitfire. My glowy glove piece tends to use sienna for a more natural orange-to-yellow heat coloration and I often have an accent color to offset the solid use of colorations
I use black and light blue or black and a dark, rusty orange.
you might have to do a bit of math to find crafting recipes worth buying up mats. at the moment I think it may just be easiest to sell off all your spare mats and buy new ones as you need them, but crafting is a bit gimped as far as profitability right now.
There's online tools that exist to do this already. You can craft for profitability in small amounts if you have materials, as well as figure out ways to power level through crafting for minimal cost.
So, after someone said I was rich in game, was thinking about what amount of gold means you're wealthy. What amount is poor, what amount is middle class, what constitutes as rich?
This overflow stuff is driving me insane. I want my loot chests :(
So, after someone said I was rich in game, was thinking about what amount of gold means you're wealthy. What amount is poor, what amount is middle class, what constitutes as rich?
How much do you have? I feel relatively rich sitting at 5 gold.
How much do you have? I feel relatively rich sitting at 5 gold.
I have 4gp and I feel on top of the world, considering when I first hit 80 I had like, 60 copper.
So, after someone said I was rich in game, was thinking about what amount of gold means you're wealthy. I have nearly 200g :l
How much do you have? I feel relatively rich sitting at 5 gold.
~140
poor is not being able to buy T3 cultural, middle class is having that money but saving it til you have more, and rich is someone who should probably apply their knowledge to real-world market trading.
That applies to no one. In game economies are extremely easy to predict and control. Multiply the difficulty by like 600 and then that might be one of the easy markets in real life. [editline]7th March 2013[/editline] Now I am wondering what the value of gold is in the game world. I know sometimes NPCs talk about buying stuff for X amount of gold, does anyone remember those lines of dialogue? * 1000g for a pack of dancing moas * Someone just said that an NPC bet 50 platinum on him. That's worth 50,000 gold coins, if the conversion rate from GW1 still applies Heroes in tyria are fucking poor.
~140
hot damn

Moa Trainer Kappa: Sorry, they're not for sale. I've worked long and hard to train these lovelies. They're like my own children. Kyla Barker: I'll give you 1000 gold for them. Moa Trainer Kappa: Children have to leave their nest sometimes. Deal!

Getting ore and refining it into pure armor and weapons would imply you could mint a buttload of coinage so it's likely treated as a commodity with fluctuating prices, and not as a currency
this implies 1kg is still a huge amount also I remember hearing the platinum comment, I'd kind of assume plat isn't a currency anymore. Getting ore and refining it into pure armor and weapons would imply you could mint a buttload of coinage so it's likely treated as a commodity with fluctuating prices, and not as a currency
It would also mean that somehow gold coins are worth hundreds or thousands of times more than the gold they are made of - and that no one has tried to mint their own from gold ore. I want to try to not compare the stuff to ingame items and their player value - it makes stuff too ridiculous. But yeah, probably can't base anything off that platinum comment.
Maybe counterfeiting carries the death penalty. I think in extreme cases it still can here in the U.S., though I don't imagine it's used for that anymore.
I have like 10g, it feels like a hell of a lot for me, but I don't understand how you guys have so much [editline]7th March 2013[/editline]
It would also mean that somehow gold coins are worth hundreds or thousands of times more than the gold they are made of - and that no one has tried to mint their own from gold ore.
you mean just like real life? :v:
Maybe counterfeiting carries the death penalty. I think in extreme cases it still can here in the U.S., though I don't imagine it's used for that anymore.
People will do a lot more for a lot less. I think that: 1. Making a wax mold of a gold coin 2. Making a cast of that wax mold 3. Melting some raw gold into that cast to get maybe 500 to 1000 times the value, would make people ignore the punishment.
* Someone just said that an NPC bet 50 platinum on him. That's worth 50,000 gold coins, if the conversion rate from GW1 still applies.
It definitely doesn't. Put it in perspective. Armor was 5k to craft for a set, not including mats, and that was dirt cheap. There are quests that reward 2k gold.

I'm reasonably sure that the mail from Zojja that indicates how astonishingly loaded with money she must be is given to Asuran players after completing the Battle of Fort Trinity. Unfortunately, it's not in my character's mailbox anymore. There's another part during an early Order of Whispers quest (Stealing Secrets) where a bunch of pirates are trying to ransom someone for 100 platinum.
I don't understand how you guys get so rich either, via trading post or farming events/dungeons? I'm only at 30 gold and played quite a lot last few weeks.........Could nearly double my gold by selling my abyss dye that I just found the last event before logging of though:) AAAAAAHHH such a difficult choice, should I use the dye or sell? Normally I have a 'Must collect all dyes!' attitude, but 20 gold.......I also hear people say that it doesn't differ from cheaper black dyes.
I got REALLY lucky a few dungeon runs and get some rare items and crafting materials. I also play the gambling game of dyes and get pretty lucky there too. I got my gold by pure luck :v:
