If she's Sylvari I'd wager she's grown roots and simply can't move.
Don't forget that the 2nd guild bounty ("Deputy" Brooke) "leaps" and by "leaps" they actually mean jumps around 6 times leaving piles of caltrops everywhere basically leaving you with 20+ stacks of bleed for 70% of the fight.
I showed up to that fight and got immobilized by another mob in the middle of those piles. I died so quickly, it wasn't even funny.
Made a human Thief, using akimbo pistols and sword + dagger. Anything I should be looking out for? I'm brand new to the game and just want to get into it.

Also, dodge like your life depends on it. Because it does. Caltrops is also your friend. It cripples and bleeds and will make melee enemies cry and want to start cutting themselves, except they won't have to. :v:

Dodging I'm doing pretty well, but my laptop is shit so animations are chunky. Hope that doesn't ruin me in the long run. I don't use Stealth that much. Should I?
I don't use Stealth that much. Should I?
Most thieves do, but I've heard of people using builds that let them constantly dodge instead. I couldn't tell you more than that as I don't have much first hand experience.

soo... when are we going to do some missions?
I'm going to be busy most of today. Maybe winner will be on
But the Acolyte just keeps spawning more. And I can't really hit him because of the swarm of thralls surrounding him.
Sorry, I just realised you are talking about retaking claw island, I thought you were talking about when claw island was lost.

Should I?
Stealth isn't as useful in PvE with a sword mainhand weapon because its stealth attack is more defensive in nature (blind/daze if I remember right). If you use your pistol, you get a burst attack when shooting from stealth, and if you use a dagger and hit from behind, you do an absurdly powerful backstab. Of course, stealth is always handy for defensive purposes. Sometimes, anyway - enemies using abilities won't cancel them just because you turn invisible, and stealth doesn't give you any kind of invulnerability. Savvy players in PvP can still hit you with their attacks, even their autoattack. May as well also mention because the game doesn't really tell you: If you equip only a single one-handed weapon to a weapon set and swap to that set, the empty slot will retain the weapon from the other set. This is mostly only useful for thieves because they don't have cooldowns on weapon abilities. For example, if you wanted to use sword/pistol and pistol/pistol, you would only need 2 pistols in total - you would leave the offhand slot for one of the sets empty and use the same pistol for both.
I did Sorrow's Embrace story today, and I got the dungeon tonic. I paid the local quaggan in Lion's Arch a visit. Is it possible to do fractals 10 with no agony resistance? I can't afford any ascended gear yet.
Is it possible to do fractals 10 with no agony resistance? I can't afford any ascended gear yet.
of course, it wasn't even possible to get ascended gear originally without doing fotm 10+
Most thieves do, but I've heard of people using builds that let them constantly dodge instead. Sword + Dagger has a skill that allows you to shadow step/infiltrate at the same time. On recast I teleport back to where I was. I just stick to targets, constantly dodge and get behind them, and if they're about to unleash some ridiculous AoE, I teleport back 30 feet away and just swap to pistols and continue to DPS. I might swap the dagger, honestly. Doesn't give me that much extra to my sword, but the stealth escape can be so damn good sometimes. Sometimes I'll go into stealth just to get reamed by some charged attack while I'm walking away or something.
Heh. I ended up getting an ascended ring in my first level 10 daily chest.
Is it possible to do fractals 10 with no agony resistance? I can't afford any ascended gear yet.
I ran frac20 with no agony resist and a really drunk tour guide and scraped by ok
I ran frac20 with no agony resist and a really drunk tour guide and scraped by ok
Seems legit. I want to do Fractals more, but I can never find anyone to run them from level 3 :c
You can do level 10 missions for daily groups to increase your own difficulty scale. Just ask people for tactics or pretend that you know what you are doing.
You can do level 10 missions for daily groups to increase your own difficulty scale. Just ask people for tactics or pretend that you know what you are doing.
or play with us. except we barely play anymore, right Akz? I'm still on like lv21 only
I usually spend time in bursts on MMOs or RPGs, playing them too much makes me sick and generally puts me into a bad mood. I might start playing again later though.

I just got this for my birthday. I played Grilled Boars: Nightfall before but I could never really get into it, but I'm a level 6 elementalist now and I think this game is growing on me! :v: So yeah, on Gandara, account name Kitace.1940, char name Irili Reia!
Fractals 30+ sucks. Don't bother.
Fractals lvl1 represent, can't ever find a group.
I'm pretty sure I'm still on fractals level four or something
I think I was with you for that as well.

Hey guys, has earning gold been affected in the past while? I got a new computer and decided to come back to guild wars, and everyone is complaining about earning gold in the past pages but I always got a ton from fractals and such.

Run CoF p1 all day and you'll end up with like 10g.
Can we just talk about how Carpet makes a kissing sound without lips, a mouth, or any way of making sound.
Because it's a magic flying carpet.
