It's mainly because official forums tend to be carebear central. Same deal with the larger fansites that become "official fansites", and this is true for most games.
They don't allow the caustic environments that older people frequently exist in to develop. You can't call someone a shitter, or even just say that his idea is terrible on guru/offical forums without someone crying to the mods and getting infractions/bans, or just getting innundated with "why u hav 2 b so meen" type posts. Facepunch, despite all the whinging about mods is ridiculously lax here, and that's the appeal. Drama (in moderate doses), is the life blood of the internet.

If I recall correctly, the basic idea of that video was that he couldn't get into the game for a long while, and then when he retried it, he really loved it. Said it was his game of the year 2012. I didn't really watch the video, and only half paid attention to the audio.

You can choose color, brightness and pattern. It slowly fades in and out like a pulse.
Final Rest has been found! Shadow Behemoth event in Queensdale and apparently its drop rate is pretty high.

I think there's another staff with the same model but this is the first time that final rest specifically has ever dropped for ANYONE since launch.
