event chests from bosses and things are now on a daily timer
if you've done it once and got the chest, you won't get it a second time if you do it again in the same day
[editline]1st March 2013[/editline]
it's to compensate for the ridic loot the chests now give

I'm aware, but I haven't gotten loot from any of the chest today.

bit more on the living story. Apparently last month and this were 'teaser content' to get people interested in what's to come but they kind of didn't imply that when it first started and everybody was disappointed when the refugee thing went on for a month with nothing else
the real thing begins at the end of march apparently.
I'm not sure on what build to aim for on my mesmer. Everything I like seems to focus on condition damage, and I don't want another condition based character. I've tried using a sword but I'm too squishy, plus I'm supposed to be a ranged class.

Use Greatsword then, if you want to be ranged but not condition built.

Fixed an issue where Honor’s Claw would repeat himself when speaking of his lost sons. He has since overcome his grief and will carry on to the fight against the minions of Jormag without stuttering.[/quote]

Yeah they finally fixed it for real this time. The last 2 times I did hotw he kept doing it regardless.

Ah, there's 31 on the market so gonna buy one. The current scythe I have is from Halloween but this looks cooler.

Final Rest looks cooler than the one above*
[editline]1st March 2013[/editline]
Got one now.
[IMG]http://swefox.nu/ss/h461Cr.jpg[/IMG]
I like the Halloween scythe more.
:D. It's nice having both.
AFTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE HOURS, I have finally gotten my main to level 79.
I have also decided on my next item thing I'm saving up for: One of the ascended accessories from the Laurel vendor, which will cost 40 laurels and 50 ectos.
ON A SIDE NOTE: Today in WvW, we had some really fun people at the Jumping Puzzle. What basically happened was Desolation and Vizunah (something) teamed up to kick the Elona (something) world out of camping the JP. Woo.

Wow, the price of those things dropped like a rock.
[editline]1st March 2013[/editline]
I'm really sick atm, and cant fall asleep because of it. I'm just up at 3am doing dragon/chest events.
[editline].[/editline]
Fire Elemental event is boring as fuck now.
[editline].[/editline]
It seems like you can just keep doing these over and over fairly quickly, and get 3 * (# of characters) chests per day in rapid succession, plus however many higher level things you do (shatterer, jormag, teqautl)
So far I'm up to my 4th or 5th chest today/night/morning. Instead of 1 and 1/2 hour timers, they're 20 minute timers. Wait about 5-8 minutes in between each, and you can just do all of them in an hour + change.
[editline].[/editline]
Scratch that, the behemoth timer is long. Maw and Fire ele are short, 20 min.
[editline].[/editline]
I have a final for a class I am doing badly in tomorrow, which makes not being able to sleep even more stressful.
And then that stress is making sleeping harder. It's all very tragic.
About how long does a dungeon take to run through with the average PuG? I'm level 75 and I've never bothered to actually do any group stuff aside from events/WvW :v:

Anywhere from 30min to 2 hours. Depends heavilly on the dungeon.
[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20CEHLwESVM[/media]
been leveling an alt and just remembered the organ, must have spent like atleast 5-6 hours on it before I stopped playing before!
[QUOTE=Winner;39758435]Was there nobody on Steam for you to talk to or what :v[/QUOTE]
I haven't had a good nights sleep in like 3 days, and I'm currently running on 2 hours of sleep. I'm not thinking at my best right now
Is the "one chest per day" thing per account or per character?
[QUOTE=itisjuly;39760103]Is the "one chest per day" thing per account or per character?[/QUOTE]
character, and each chest is per event. So you could do shatterer, claw of jormag, shadow behemoth, etc, all in one day, not just one of them
I love how in Straits of Devastation all the meta events are tied together
Guyons terrible ideas #256
One person gets his hands on whatever potion can make you look like a chest.
The rest get their hand on ones that make you look like trees, shrubs bushes etc...
Log onto WvW
They form a small circle with chest guy in the middle and change to their respective guises. you now have a chest in the middle of a clearing.
Wait until some poor unsuspecting sap walks over and all jump out at once, you could either kill him or be nice and give him some loot type stuff.
Guyons terrible ideas #257
Similar above but EVERYONE makes themselves look like a bush.
Line up along the side of a road and as enemies walk by announce in chat that they should "MOVE ALONG! WE ARE A HEDGE! NOTHING TO SEE HERE!
Alternate idea, line up so you make a hedge maze.
if they mouse-over you (or have 'enemy names always on' enabled), they'll see a giant red "Gate of Madness Invader" nameblock and likely attack you all while you're temporarily unable to block anything.
second, the potions are account bound so EVERYBODY involved would have to have 400 artificing
Most people have "always show enemy names" on in WvW, so people would see "Invader" above all the shrubs and bushes
so begins the evolution of the skritt
[url]http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1250729[/url]
I know a lot of asura spend time researching how skritt get more intelligent in packs, but only once has one actually explained their research (lab just north of the giant ruins in the mid-north of the sylvari 1-15 area). They think the skritt's grunts and other annoying sounds are actually sub-lingual code, which allows them to communicate far more efficient with each other than with normal speakers, giving the [i]illusion[/i] of higher intelligence in groups because they can come to a more evaluated consensus pretty fast.
I think the illusion of intelligence is also boosted because [tyrian] isn't their natural language, so they speak with bad caveman like grammar and vocabulary when trying to speak to us.
I wonder whether there's a deeper importance to shiny objects. Given their potential as sublingualists, I'd posit that placing shinies (hard, smooth objects capable of bouncing sound better) around a cave (made of dull rocks that diffuse and distort noise), they can boost the effective communication range within the cave, allowing a wider spread whilst still maintaining contact. Similarly placing a number of items at the exit of a cave could allow a distant source to bounce off of all of them and project to a guard, as a primitive parabolic dish. It's literally a radio network

shit no wonder I play asurans
Oh there was a patch...
