He's actually still on the map and so are they, NPCs can't use exit grids :v
Gotta love old games.
They actually can use exit grids. I remember trying to chase a few NPCs as they ran towards the grid after I had them down to low health. I had to use all my AP to catch up to them, and my chance to hit from anywhere but point blank at the time was basically nil, so they got away.

Nah, they just walked off the screen, but remained on the map. I think, at least. I definitely had some guys walk off the screen, but then come back just in time to get a .223 to the eye.
Does anyone actually know anything about the inner workings of the old Fallout engine? Because I'm basing everything I'm saying off what I saw ingame :v:
God damn yaoi gaus keep ripping me apart
So what pornstar name did everyone choose in F2?
I went with Rod Sweat, it was the closes thing to the name I'd use in real life; Rod Screwit.
Am I the only one here who just wants to post as much as possible just so we can get to page 2? I always hated the first page of a megathread.
have you guys seen this one?

I really hate the "tacticool" look they went for with that armor.
Get rid of the gas masks, the modern looking tact vests and thigh holsters, they really don't have much place in the NV world.
Also, is it just more, or does the last armor look like the guys armor from Dragon Age 2?

That site appears to have more tacticool stuff than the nexus. At least this has some model ports from other games.
Ugh does Fallout script extender other peoples game crash more? because it did for me
Depends on the mods. Some mods are really crashy. FOSE by itself won't do anything.
Yeah im only using it for the pip-boy 2500 mod
I got Fallout 3 Script Extender and didn't install any mods for it and my game crashed a bunch of times, but when I uninstalled it it didn't crash until I spawned all those abraxo cleaners.

Exact same thing is happening to me installed it, crash every 15 minutes which is fucking annoying because i need it for that pip-boy mod im using
I get slowdowns with Project Nevada but NVSE/FOSE by itself doesn't cause me any problems.

The 2500, Readius, and anything based on the Readius have always made my game very twitchy. I was having HUGE issues surrounding saving. Certain and rather large swathes of wasteland, some interiors, would CTD if I quicksaved. Others if I hardsaved. still others if I saved at all. Worst part? The bad zones moved around. It was really annoying. I removed the 2500 and it suddenly stopped doing that.
Such a shame. I do like the 2500, but it has without failure made New Vegas get twitchy around saving. The FO3 readius had similar issues, coupled with a random CTD when stealth fields activate....which was a problem since I used a harness under my outfit which gave me one whenever I entered sneak mode at the time. If only they didn't do that to me, I'da seen about having a Droid 3 skin made for the Readius because why the fuck not :v:
I've been using the 2500 for a while and it's working fine for me.

Never had issues with saves mostly because i hard save all the time but i have noticed some weird things when using it, also anyone know how i can get FOSE to stop crashing my game every 30 minutes?
Never had issues with saves mostly because i hard save all the time
Nowhere near as often as me I can guaranteee that. I save every five steps pretty much. It's not NVSE/FOSE. It's the 2500. I've tried that thing five times now and five out of five tries ended with uninstalling it because it made my game divide by zero. I've got 60 active plugins right now, but the 2500 is not on that list, and my game does not crash every half an hour.

VGU is an absolute hole. Forced posting to access files, forced posting to keep your account alive, hypocritical and power tripping moderators and admins, an absolutely obnoxious anti-ad/script browser detection, and the few decent mods available there that aren't available elsewhere are created by egotistical authors that lose their shit in a classic cloud strife meltdown if you so much as down rep them for insulting the very people who are using their mods.

Im pretty sure its FOSE because i used it before with the stutter fix and without the 2500 mod and it still crashed like crazy
FOSE doesn't do anything to the game without a mod to use it.
VGU has mods worth downloading?
I wish the thread's icon was still rant instead of just games. The black and orange made it easy to pick out amongst the endless green.

yeah, plus it fits in with the whole nuclear apocalypse feel
Damn, deadwind cavern is still hard at level 38. I can sneak attack the deathclaw mother with a .50 MG explosive and take her down to 60% hp (I play at hard). But one strike from her on my fully pimped out power armor with toughness perks, buffout, mentats, psycho, etc. and I'm one shotted and killed. And the Fat man does not work very well in tight corners...
get satchel charges, they cripple the legs off ANYTHING in one go
just lay a bunch of them on the downhill and lure everyone out the cave
then start picking them off
just remember to backpedal
[editline]28th February 2013[/editline]
and if you think deadwind cavern is anything, go try the deathclaw promonotary
just swim across the river at cottonwood cove
BTW:
theres around 30 deathclaws, all sizes, all flavors
A stealthboy or three and about 50 C4 charges will make short work of deathwind cavern.

Shoot at deathclaws, run to the river when they get near. Wait for them to go up again. Repeat.
Also, after finding some lockpicks, I can't lockpick the cell door, so Tina is trapped there. Will she die even if I have killed all the Khans?
And I went to Shady Sands, confirmed she hadn't escaped, but also Ian wasn't with me. At least I have a couple of Desert Eagles to sell and some armors.
veronica just uppercuted a young deathclaws 10 feet in the air
powerfists are miracle devices

I once gave Veronica power armor and a ballistic fist then unleashed her on the legion.
I didn't even have to do anything, I literally just stood there.
