Hey, is there anyone holding legal rights to SPECIAL, or is it a publicly available system?
Hey, is there anyone holding legal rights to SPECIAL, or is it a publicly available system?
I think you have to get the rights to it through Bethesda.
What's always struck me as funny is I live in the area Fallout 3 takes place in. My neighborhood is kind of in the game. [sp]Though I am not a cannibal (hint hint)[/sp] I visit DC at least twice a month given its like less than an hours drive and I got friends who live there. My great great (great?) grandfather was confederate prisoner at Point Lookout back when the place was a Civil War prison camp. And even one of my high school chums was the son of the guy who voiced Mr.Burke. (Got some great stories about him if y'all are interested) I feel so fucking connected to this game it's crazy.
Go to the local scrapyard and try find a dog
holy crap charon is gigantic hes like 2 heads taller than you and i made him carry a set of remnants power armor now he looks very intimidating
Go to the local scrapyard and try find a dog
Also see if Vault 101 exists
My dear friends, could you help me find a mod? It was a pack of different, sometimes unique and craftable Ranger Recon Armorm and Riot Gear. The most notable feature, I think, was ability to customize your helmet with drawings, cards and such.
ADAM, maybe?
After almost 200 hours of playing, I have finally learned how to hack terminals properly! [sp]and all it took me was looking at the fallout wiki[/sp]
After almost 200 hours of playing, I have finally learned how to hack terminals properly! [sp]and all it took me was looking at the fallout wiki[/sp]
There's also a help option in the pause menu, you know
There's also a help option in the pause menu, you know
Help options are for wimps. After re-playing Fallout 3 two times and Fallout New Vegas two times only THEN I learned how to not get a terminal locked.
ADAM, maybe?
Thats exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
There's also a help option in the pause menu, you know
wait. WHAT
There's also a help option in the pause menu, you know
Well, I sure do now. I never bothered hacking anyway until now, so I didn't care that much.
I've got an issue regarding hacking in that one of my mods has fucked up a setting that controls how many password choices you get. doesn't matter how hard they are I only have one word to choose from :v:
It's actually pretty hilarious how OP Veronica can be. Once you give her power armor and a ballistic fist, the end credits may as well roll right then and there, because anything short of an army of legendary deathclaws that shoot lasers from their eyes will be turned into a mushy, red stain in the dirt within about 10 seconds. To top it off, all you have to do to recruit her is accept her request to travel with you. Done.
Even worse still, the game quite literally runs you into power armor for her. When you go to Hidden Valley with her the first quest MacNamara gives you is to pick up the reports from those fallen BoS. Even with a terrible repair skill you can net her a fully repp'd BoS T-51b at the end of that. She doesn't seem to blink at wearing armor hobbled together from 3-5 fallen Paladins either, nor does anyone in Hidden Valley give a shit. ...oh, and if you don't want her punching things give her a gauss rifle. She's just as OP with that as anything else. She's as accurate and deadly as Boone even if she does balk a bit at the idea of not punching things. It's also fairly easy to give her ammo if your science is high enough to convert ECPs to MFCs, seeing as fiends love their Laser RCWs.

They feel ok to me? I don't expect them to be instant manstoppers, but they'll down fiends and other lightly armored humanoids in about half a magazine usually. They're laser tommy guns, use 'em the same way.

I own all the DLC but have never gotten around to playing any of them. Which one's the best? I've heard that Dead Money and Lonesome Road were generally the most enjoyable.
I own all the DLC but have never gotten around to playing any of them. Which one's the best? I've heard that Dead Money and Lonesome Road were generally the most enjoyable.
My rating, worst to best: Honest Hearts. It had a bit of nice lore but that's it. The tribals are annoying to deal with and there isn't much to do except poke through old tunnels and shoot white legs. I rush through it to get the .45ACP weapons and the Survivalist's Rifle. Dead Money: Gas Clouds and radio-linked bomb collars ruin what would have otherwise been a great DLC. Also, gear stripping is bollocks. Otherwise it's quite a nice, environmental place with assloads of answers to "What was it like before the war?!" Oh, and there's some neat items too. The BAR clone is badass, and if you have a female courier/Veronica in tow there's some snazzy dresses to be had. Oh, and 340,000 caps worth of pure gold bouillon, which is nice. Good luck stealing it all though. Old World blues: The Think Tank is goddamn hilarious and there's all sorts of really wacky Science! stuff laying about. If you think Wild Wasteland should be the default state of the game, as I do, you'll love this one. Only real flaw is not being allowed back to the Mojave whenever you want until after completing it. Lonesome Road: This may be as linear as a MMS, but it embodies post-apocalyptia like none other. You're allowed all your shit, you can nibble at it as you please and return to the Mojave whenever, the ED-E clone is adorable, the weapons and enemies really cool, and the lore behind it is above par. Only real flaw I see: Tunnel rats are a bitch to hit. Oh, and the final segment before you get to Ulysses' hiding place is a pain in the ass to navigate, I usually give up and jetpack across :v:
DMs good once you clear the villas Lonesome Road is best played last. Ulysses works well as a final boss. Yeah, listen to TestECull, except about honest hearts, cause Joshua Graham is awesome as shit, and so is the loot you get.
Maybe giving people the ability to mod games isn't always the best idea
Croog Boono?
except about honest hearts, cause Joshua Graham is awesome as shit, and so is the loot you get.
That's what I meant about the lore. Joshua Graham is, indeed, a badass. I also make heavy use of the .45s, my sidearm of choice is a .45 Auto Pistol with an HD slide, and I carry a suppressed one for sneaky shit. The tommy gun also lives up to its name quite nicely, great piece of hardware.
Pretty sure AWoP doesn't play well with PN either.
Yeah, the "M" weapons and gear in AWOP won't get renamed for obvious reasons.
Wow I just played the Pitt and its awful, had an ok plot but was like an hour long What DLC should I play next?
Go make a mod for New Vegas and then a mod for Call of Pripyat. Guarantee you'll prefer New Vegas.
i probably would, but that doesn't make the GECK suck any less buggier and crashier than nv itself sometimes
