More like you couldn't finish it [editline]10:21PM[/editline] Also I don't get the green zone stuff. It looks so out of place. Same reason I couldn't play OL2009.
I don't like SMP's environment because the grass is too green and out of place.

I like holdens changes to it all along with the roads and buildings etc in LURK. Greener just gives it a different kind of feel. Vanilla just looks too generic post apocalyptic. I might try and change more of the environment textures myself. I do hate it when people make the zone vibrant.
Your able to move around as normal. You can't leave after choosing to stay though. You do have to fight your way out of that section of Pripyat though. Pretty tough depending on how many you took down getting there. [editline]02:44PM[/editline] If I can't [sp]save Strelok[/sp] on my current playthrough I'm gonna stay and see what it's like.
What are you talking about? You can leave after choosing to stay. Go talk to Pilot and you'll get a option that says. I want to leave the zone.
Oh right, Lurk 1.1 will have green grass. Well I guess I'll have to stick with other mods unless there is an optional patch for it.

In reality, the Exclusion Zone is...well, green. Pripyat is overgrown. Grass is uncut :v: The Red Forest is mostly regrown nowadays. Animals are rampant (wolves, foxes, all those types of critters.) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/Chernobyl_statue_2009.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b6/Pripyat_panorama_2009-001.jpg If you haven't noticed, it's all GREEEEN. Plus it looks closer to the movie, which was also very green and overgrown looking.

Would feel a bit wierd having green grass and butterflies with Bloodsuckers roaming around.

If you've finished SoC, [sp]C-Con actually explains what the blowouts are I think..they're simply trying to fix the disturbance of the noosphere,[/sp] which results in these waves of psychic energy throughout the whole Zone.
What are you talking about? You can leave after choosing to stay. Go talk to Pilot and you'll get a option that says. I want to leave the zone.
Do note that I only ventured through pripyat after choosing to stay. I should have said that earlier. That is a little dumb that they go through all that shit to leave and you can just leave with pilot. Do you still get the cutscene when you leave with pilot?
OK, guys. I just wrote a long-ass story about Chernobyl. It's not strictly STALKER-related, since it's about what actually happened after the explosion in 1986, but I think you'll enjoy reading it. It's called "We Buried Ourselves." Check it out right here. (PDF)
I just finished reading it. Depressing, especially how they treated him after it all and the bit with the door.
I just finished reading it. Depressing, especially how they treated him after it all and the bit with the door.
Interestingly, those are both drawn from real life. I door bit I embellished upon, but that was more or less how they treated soldiers coming back from the Zone. They couldn't tell them how much radiation they'd really been exposed to without letting on just how large-scale the contamination was. They scored everything low and sent them home.

SMP is my new screw-around mod. I can't take it seriously but it's fine to run around and be a juggernaut, hip firing a PKM on a group of bandits, cutting them down like weeds.

You're losing touch man. Start drawing stuff we can relate to and stop trying to be funny :saddowns:

Huntin' time. :clint:
Do a comic about a Loner punching you and making you drop your gun and then grabbing it before you can and using it.
Do a comic about a Loner punching you and making you drop your gun and then grabbing it before you can and using it.
Tell me that this has happened to you :v:

A guide can lead you out of the zone.
A comic of you saving that incapacitated stalker at the cordon then a stampede of troll cats comes rising over the horizon sounds nice.
damn i was playing with the spawn mod out side of yanov and i spawned 100 bandits to execute when suddenly an emission came and those 100 or so bandits fled inside yanov blocking all the doors stopping me from getting in:frown:.
Tell me that this has happened to you :v:
Yeah :v:

That was pretty intense, took him out from behind and then got spotted, had to fight for every inch of ground, ended up flanking the bastards and taking them out from behind as they looked for me. Ended up using all my AK ammo taking out 2 exosuits and I had to scavenge some LR300s and ammo to finish them off.
I love it when that happens, its hard as hell but SO worth it.
Yes you can... Have you even played the post-game at all? A guide can lead you out of the zone.
Read my post after that. I've only completed one playthrough and I spent little time moving through pripyat. I barley have any time to play lately.
This should be my page

Instead of sneaking into the place, I just tried to snipe the guys from the distance. They leave one merc alone, I manage to headshot him and BAM! They're all charging at me like they haven't even moved from their positions. Then I tried sneaking inside, knifed the same merc and shit starts all over again.

I just use a silenced sniper. They know a body is there, but they don't know who did it.
I reloaded a save to try it a different way, waitied til he was around the corner before ganking him. Once he died all I heard on the radio was "Let's teach this retard a lesson" :v:
